Handmade a glass bead myself! - detourist Guide Valerio is nothing short of amazing! Tour was very personal and personalized. From exclusive areas at one of the most prestigious glass factories in Murano, to an upstart art glass factory and a tiny mother/daughter craft glass shop, this was the real highlight of our time in the Venetian Lagoon.

A must-do in Murano--secret places you won't have access to otherwise - Valerio is such a wonderful guide--knowledgeable, engaging, with a serious depth of knowledge and ability to get visitors into secret places off the beaten path. We had a great history lesson on glasswork in Murano and a chance to try it out. Valerio learns all the travelers' names and keeps you engaged throughout the whole tour. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for something more in-depth than simply buying Murano glass (though you can do that, too--right from the artisans themselves!).

Beautiful day in Murano - Great day with Valerio in Murano! He took us to beautiful stops we would have never accessed on our own. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting Monica’s shop and learning from her about lamp work. Valerio also had great restaurant suggestions both for a sit down meal or a quicker option depending on our mood. Would highly recommend.

Best glass experience ever! - This was a wonderful experience that I will remember for my lifetime. The walking tour really allowed us to understand the history of Morano and the labor of love for the art created there. Our tour guide was just as charming as the city itself, one that he lives in and is clearly proud to be a contributor to…which made the entire experience that much better. 💕 Monica was such a sweet and kind host to us. She shared with us her livelihood and vision for her shop and invited us to make our own unique creation to take home with us. I cannot say enough good things about this tour. It was the most memorable experience during our stay in Venice for me and my 2 friends who are artist at heart. The trip to Morano was worth it!! Don’t hesitate. Book now!

Marvellous Murano glassmaking tour with a local guide - We had a fantastic tour of Murano glassmaking with Valerio and visited some amazing showrooms, factories and small boutique glassmakers. He took great care that we were looked after and engaged our kids so well. The kids loved making their own glass beads and will treasure their momentos. He knows the island very well and is happy to share his knowledge and experience.

Great tour of Murano and glass factories! - Valerio was a great tour. As a native of Murano, he showed us some places we would not have found on our own. We made our own glass bead! Monica was patient as we were both new to glasswork. On our tour, we actually found a factory that offered classes on glass blowing. We returned another day to create our own drinking glass! Murano was definitely a highlight of our tour.
