Valerio is an excellent guide - Valerio is an amazing guide. He very thoughtfully put together a tour that showed us the highlights of Murano & Burano. He found special places to give us a full picture of the region. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and highly recommend you book with him.

Authentic island tour - Valerio did a wonderful tour with us. He managed to take our large group of friends to places that were previously less well-known and less crowded, so that we could experience the charm of the islands and their beauty. Thank you Valerio!

Wonderful tour with an amazing guide - We had so much fun on this tour. Valerio took us to some great spots off the beaten path in each of the three islands. We got to have Burano pretty much all to ourselves which is unheard of. The glass making demonstration in Murano was also really interesting. From the very beginning, he had excellent communication and was very personable. He mentioned he prefers to work with small group sizes so it truly felt like a private tour, which we didn’t get from any of our other guides. He went out of his way to make our time feel memorable and special. He even went above and beyond and arranged for us to have a drink and small bites in Burano and dinner at a nice restaurant on our way back in Murano. I’ll definitely be recommending him to anyone I know going to Venice! The only thing I would say is it lasted more like 6 hours instead of 5 (the ferry on the way back takes quite a bit of time). Not that that bothered us, but some people might be on more of a time crunch and need to know. Be prepared for lots of waking (by no means am I complaining, it didn’t bother us one bit) and a fun filled day exploring the islands of Venice!

Stunning!... - Valerio was the BEST tour guide on our north Italy trip! So very personable, and communicated with us DIRECTLY which was amazing, and better than any other excursion! Was very neat to see the "islands" AND the "mainland"....You really don't realize how BIG Venice is....its truly a city on water! Water taxi all day for $25 bucks, WOOT! SO.MANY.ISLANDS....a must do tour in a must do city! This place was simply amazing and beautiful. We miss you already Valerio, HUGS!

Complete venetian tour - Our family (with three teenage boys) had a great time with Valerio touring the Jewish quarter and Canareggio, Murano, Burano and Mazzorbo. In addition to the traditional tourist attractions he showed us an amazing, world class glass exhibition, secret gardens, other hidden gems and local restaurants. He went out of his way to make sure we all had a great experience and really managed to exceed the expectations of our youngest (a history buff) as well. We learned so much about Venice and the surrounding areas. He gave us many suggestions/ recommendations for our remaining days. He also came and had a drink with us, really nice to hang out with a local. We would recommend going on one of his tours, either tailored to your needs or simply select one of the "standard" tours on your first day in Venice so that you better understand the ins and outs of the city.

Island Hopping the day Away - Our family of four enjoyed our day with Velariilo visiting Mazzorbo, Burano and Murano. Mazzorbo was very quaint and very much off the beaten path. There wasn't much to see there except for a church and a vineyard tho and it was a lot of walking!! We absolutely fell in love with Burano (our favorite of the three islands). Valerio took great care to keep us away from the crowded tourist areas while still allowing us to experience the beauty of Burano. The colorful houses are very much worth seeing! We also visited an original Italian lace store and were able to witness lace making in progress. It was fascinating. We spent the least amount of time in Murano. It was lovely but we were exhausted by the time we got there. We went to a blown glass showroom where Valerio once worked and saw some amazing pieces. We also went to a small shop where a friend of Valerio's, Monica, works on blowing beads for jewelry and other glass works. It was fun to see her blow a bead for us but I must admit, we were really looking forward seeing a full glass blowing demonstration. After the tour, Valerio arranged for lunch at 9ne of his favorite restaurants on the island and it was superb. It was a very long day, we got back to Venice at 3:30 and logged almost 12,000 steps, but very much worth the experience of seeing new places.
