The Palace is “inhabited” by life-size figures representing the Lords of the Night, prisoners, judges, lawyers, and other prison staff, all meticulously recreated from ancient manuscripts.
The Prisons Palace is home to one of Europe’s oldest prisons, established in the 1500s.
