Then we got to try many different wines with information about each. It's the only wine tasting tour I've done, so I can't compare but I really enjoyed it!

The tour comprised transportation... -
The tour comprised transportation to/from one winery. We were given a thorough tour of the winery, and we tasted many perhaps 10? different wines. Snacks were provided e.g. salami and cheese for the non-vegetarians, and excellent vegetables for the vegetarians. We bought 6 bottles of wine to ship home.

This was an odd wine tasting tour... -
This was an odd wine tasting tour. We only went to one winery where we basically just stood and drank a lot of wine. There wasn't much discussion about the wines, but they were generous with their pours. Then, some people bought a bunch of wine, which I guess was the expected result of the tour. Our driver was very pleasant though.

Tour description states only 8... -
Tour description states only 8 persons per tour and we had 15. Not the intimate, small-group atmosphere that was promised. Worse part of the tour was the beginning with the confusing check in plus the guide refused to sit our party of 7 in the same van. They would not put the air conditioning on in the van, despite many requests to do so. They drove like our of control taxi drivers. Same exact thing on the return to Venice. Once we arrived at the winery everything was good. However since there were 15 of us instead of 8, not everyone fit around the tasting area making it uncomfortable. Nice selection of meats and crackers, lots of good wines to taste. We bought wines to ship home. Get a better transportation company who will use air-conditioning it was a very hot day and keep the tour to 8 persons and I would have rated a 5!

Let me start off by saying Viator is... -
Let me start off by saying Viator is usually pretty good. This operator was really bad. We were too met at the car park at 9AM we were there along with another couple that was to take the Wine Tasting tour. We called the operator at 9:20 she said he had already been there no way. I called back now they said he was stuck on the bridge and would be along soon. The driver arrived 10 minutes later, no accident on the bridge just plain late. This was to be English speaking tour right in its name the driver spoke almost no English. So it was a quite drive through lovely countryside however he couldnt explain about the ruins we saw. Got to the winery late the sampling was already underway. So we joined in with the others there. I was a very small room and with15 people in it, it was really small. We tried 4 to 5 wines about 1 ounce each and that was it, all in all not a good place. My wife and I are walking back to the SUV and someone says we have to pay, WHAT. We had to pay 10 Euros a piece. Viator didnt include the winery cost in the tour or we plainly got ripped off. Buyer Beware on this tour.

The tour was not as advertised... -
The tour was not as advertised. First, we met our guide at the meeting point and he informed us that his Mercedes van was broken down. We rode in a very tight minivan and there were only six people in our group. The Viator web site says Make your way to Piazzale Roma in central Venice, where youll meet your local guide and hop aboard an air-conditioned Mercedes minivan. Along the way to the town of Treviso, your guide will share interesting facts about Venetos history and wines. Well, sorry to say that our guide said about three sentences on the trip to the winery and back which was TWO hours long. So, out of the four hour trip/tour, two hours were spent in a small minivan where the driver/guide offered nothing about the area we were driving through and Veneto's history and wines.

The winery tour itself was good 3-4 stars. The winery guide was very knowledgeable and the tasting was very informative and enjoyable. But when you combine the boring two hour round trip to the winery where the driver/guide offered nothing of value with the winery tour, I have to say that this tour was not a good value.
