Gorgeous tour of the villas in the Veneto countryside - We had a great day cycling with Gianluca from Dolo to Venice and seeing the villas along the route. The majority of the route is along the river or small roads and Gianluca was a knowledgeable and very interesting guide. He even took us to his own house for coffee and a rest by the river. Wonderful day.

Wonderful time cycling along the Brenta Canal. - We found Travel & Bike through an online search. We were looking for access to bikes and discovered that Travel & Bike was attached to a B&B hosted by Gianluca, Monica and her parents. What a happy surprise. We stayed there for our last four nights in Italy. From the moment Gianluca picked us up at the train station until we waved good-bye at the airport, we felt that we were staying with friends. The B&B is in Dolo, half way between Venice and Padua. Cycling along the canal proved to be the best way to see the area, including Padua, and our bikes were sturdy and well-equipped. Our room had everything we could possibly need, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the breakfast buffet plentiful. On the day we ventured into Venice, Gianluca had bus tickets for us. (They anticipated our every need.) We were overwhelmed by Venice and so happy to return to our peaceful home-away-from-home where we sat in the garden and enjoyed lovely picnic dinner. A wonderful place to stay and fabulous cycling too. What more could you ask for
