Unforgettable. A memory for your Life if you LOVE art - This has been one experience to remember for life. What a privilegie! I can not explain the emotion at San Marco by night, there are no words. You have to live It.

A magicalvexperience! - The quietness of the nearly empty venues lent an intimate yet spooky atmosphere. You could almost glimpse scenes from the past as the guide described them. And the vividness of the mosaics, paintings, and ceilings reached out under the lights of the dark surroundings. Truly memorable!

Both are Historical Highlights & must see in Venice - St Marks Basilica is a short wait to get in but worth it to see ( Bring some euro coins to light a candle) but the Doge's Palace is a brutal line up so get their early. Both places will take up most of your day and so worthwhile to see and they are near the dock at St Mark's Square. The history you will learn at the Doge's Palace is amazing. Walking across the Bridge of Sigh's and looking down at the Canal is an interesting experience of where they walked Prisoners' across. We did both tours late day

Amazing access with a wonderful guide! - The small group tour with Roberta was absolutely amazing! The access to St. Mark's Basilica at night is a very different experience than seeing it with 1,000 other people during the day and being moved along (I've done that too!). It's quiet, dramatic; and, when they slowly put the lights on as you sit in the dark, it's magical. The mosaics come to life and sparkle as you watch the basilica "wake up." That's a very nice touch. We were able to see the crypt and go behind the altar to see the famous Pala d'Oro altarpiece, which I was really looking forward to. It did not disappoint! Roberta was a fountain of knowledge and her English is wonderful. I didn't want the tour to end. Spend the money and do this!!

Well worth the time - An informative guide led us through the experience. It's can seem to be be too long after a day spent wandering around Venice, but it's well worth it.

After hours equals less crowds - Our tour guide Iolyia (sp?) Was a fabulous story teller. Seeing St Mark's without the crowds was next level. Simply stunning, especially when they turn the lights on to illuminate the incredible stories. Sadly we couldn't do Doges Palace due to a presidential visit. But well worth it

Great - Grace(American way to say it) was great and explained everything we were seeing in great detail. Going into the basilica at night was truly amazing especially when all the lights were turned off and then turned back on slowly lighting up different places and different times. Truly magical!

This is one of the best tours in all of Venice. Incredible in every way! - Amazing and highly recommended!! Seeing Doge Palace and St. Marks at night is incredible. One of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide was so knowledgeable, she knew so much about both institutions. Doge was great, but the highlight for me was St. Marks! Our guide knew so much information! Loved, loved, loved this tour. Don't miss it!

Great but could do with reviewing that facts. - Fantastic way to view the Doge and St Marks without the crowds we were able to walk round and truly appreciate both. However would advise the tour guide to check some of the facts as some were a little romanticised, for example saying the Vatican carbon dated remains in the 1800's belived to be st marks can't be correct as carbon dated wasn't invented till 1949. Few other little things were said that were not quite correct but in all really pleased we got to view the way we did and would highly recommend. And St George slayed the dragon that counted! 😉
