It’s not easy to familiarize oneself with Venetian cuisine, but it becomes achievable when guided by a local culinary enthusiast who’s intimately familiar with the city. Journey from one bacaro (Venetian wine bar) to another, tasting two distinct varieties of cicchetti and other regional delicacies, complemented by beverages at each location. Your knowledgeable gastronome guide will, by the end of the evening, instruct you on the places to dine, the manner of eating, and the food to try when in La Serenissima.
- If the local municipality restricts access due to high tide and there are no walkways available, it is the client’s responsibility to bring appropriate footwear (e.g., boots). The guide will modify the itinerary to include alternate dry paths whenever possible.
- No refund will be provided if high tide prevents certain parts of the tour, but adjustments to the route will be made for client safety and comfort.
- Unfortunately, due to the nature of this tour, it is not wheelchair/stroller accessible.
- Venetian cuisine is closely connected to the sea. We enjoy a lot of seafood on this tour. We will do our best to provide alternatives for those who refrain from eating seafood.
- Those with dietary restrictions need to contact us before joining the tour so we can arrange your food.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a red bag or Devour Tours sign. This tour meets at Campo San Tomà in front of the well. The Ferry stop closest to this meeting point is called "San Tomà".

Best Venice Experience! - Had the most amazing time with Barbara!! She made the whole experience the favorite part of our trip. We tried many things we wouldn’t normally and got to talk and learn all about Venice from a true Venetian! 10/10 would recommend and would definitely do it again!! Props to Barbara!!

An amazing Tour and Guide - We absolutely loved this tour!! Daria was our guide, and she is one of the most lovely people I have ever met! She took us to some amazing places, explained the culture, food and drinks so well, and made sure that our group were all "besties" by the end of the tour. I cannot recommend taking this tour enough, GO!!

Experience the best food in Venice! - This tour was brilliant. We had the best food of our trip to Venice on this tour with Manu. She was knowledgeable, approachable and a wealth of knowledge about the city and the food we got to experience. All the places we visited were welcoming and had delicious cicchetti and gelato!! My wife and I were extremely pleased with our experience and recommend this tour wholeheartedly!

Great experience - Our guide was fantastic! We learned lots about Venice and the food and wine here. The food and wine were really good and we tried things we never would have on our own. Manu made the evening so fun with her stories, my daughter and I had a wonderful time.

Amazing tour with an amazing guide - I’ve taken many food tours before and this one was, hands down, the best I’ve ever been on. Our guide, Barbara, was amazing. She was friendly and smart and funny and you could tell she loves what she does. Every place we went to we had delicious food and Barbara told interesting stories about the history of the food and/or location. We all learned so much about Venetian history and how it related to the food we were eating. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and encourage anyone who had the opportunity to do it as well.

Outstanding food tour - Love doing food tours when traveling abroad and this one did not disappoint. Our guide Elizabetta was born in Venice and shared great information about the history, food and drinks. It was great to get out of the busy San Marco area and explore another Venice district. Would highly recommend this tour.

It’s a maybe if you have extra time. - It was ok. Guide was. Or very talkative. We happen to be with two other couples who were from Florida. We made our own conversation. On previous tours we’ve had guides who discuss the food why they chose it and its origins.
