Nice activity for kids - This tour was well off the beaten path in Venice but the girl who led us in the painting, Martina, was very sweet and easy going when our kids got frustrated. Heads up that it takes a good hour to reach this shop from Doge’s palace area.

Pricey but worth it for the break and souvenir - This was a fun family time experience! It was a welcomed break for all of us to sit down in the air conditioning and still be immersed in one of Venice’s (albeit touristy) iconic crafts, like making your own masquerade mask. Not taking ourselves too seriously, we got creative, laughed and truly enjoyed making our own souvenirs. Definitely recommend it for families with kids.

A Golden Duck Venetian Mask was Created - Painting my Venetian mask was such a fun and relaxing experience on a warm hectic day in Venice. I had a lot of choices of masks to chose from and a large choice of paints to create my own unique mask. A family with young children joined me and it was fun to watch them have just as much fun as I did and for them to be successful in creating a treasured souvenir.

Our entire family of 5... - Our entire family of 5 participated in this experience and everyone really enjoyed it. It was a great break from walking and fighting with crowds. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. And we now have a unique and memento from our trip to Venice!

Fabulous experience, great for kids and a really wonderful break from the packed streets of Venice! - Really fun workshop, kids and adults all loved it, the location is great, lots of masks to choose from and very easy to get going. The lady who helped us was really kind and helped the kids so much. Highly recommend this short of peace and tranquility in beautiful crazy Venice .

I'm so glad we did this. - I was skeptical about booking this with my husband, but we both completely enjoyed it. It helped get us in the right frame of mind for Carnivale! We had a little trouble finding the right place but once we did everything went smoothly.

A wonderful experience, absolutely recommended!! - The shop has a wonderful assortment of masks available and many paint colors to work with. The instructor was lovely - very nice, friendly, and helpful when I or my Mom got "stuck" either with an idea or the actual execution of our vision for our masks. She helped as well with instructing us in mixing and blending paints to achieve the best looks that we were wanting. It was a fun, creative, and educational experience that we got to share Couldn't have asked for better!!!

1 hr Venetian mask painting - This was a great activity! Good one for a family. We choose a mask to paint and spent an hour doing it. I was hoping for a bit more explanation of the art of mask making and examples to help the children do theirs. For the price, an hour was quite quick. If we had 1.5 hrs, I would have chosen a bigger mask and enjoyed it more.

One of our kids favorite activities on our vacation - We had a great time painting masks during our recent time in Venice. It was one of our kids favorite activities during our trip (15, 14 and 12 yr old). You don't get to add any flare but there are lots of masks around to draw inspiration from for painting on flare.
