Good Boats - The boats are nice. It’s a little hard to find where the meetup point is near Saint Marks Square. It’s across from the Royal Garden just down the walkway from Doge Palace. The boats had air conditioning sections which was good. The time tables are a little bit inflexible but it’s an easy way to get around the Venice Lagoon.

Fun Boat - I liked it but I wish the timetables were flexible. It might be hard to find the meeting point if coming from San Marco Square. It’s right in front of the royal garden near the square. I liked that the boat had an air conditioned section.

Recommended - Nice tour but be sure to download the POPguide app so you can find the starting points. Recommended for a cheaper way to get around Venice. Highly recommend the islands.

A must do activity in Venice! - This was a great way to see Venice and the islands in a relaxing way without the hassle of figuring out transportation. It is especially nice on a hot day because they have AC on most of their boats! Highly recommend this company for anyone traveling to Venice.

Pretty good for day. - Handy to be able to see multiple islands. Good drivers and the schedule is easy to read to make the boats. Don’t need much time one each island so the times work well. Wish there was more boats going back to Venice at end of day can be easy missed at end of day if not careful.

Nice experience - Hop on and off was fine. No AC and very hot to wait around but this is expected with all of these boats. Schedule was timely for all islands.

Skip this one - I want to start by saying I am a fan of the hop on hop off tours - great way to cover ground, get a good overview of a city, and spare your feet some steps. This one...not so much. I booked it expecting a good experience, but figuring that at the very least, it'd be relatively inexpensive, unlimited transportation around the city with fewer stops than the vaporetto. I should have really looked at the maps and timetables first. The options for stops and boats are limited, particularly as you visit the outer islands. There are few seats outdoors on the boats and the audio commentary is via an app you need to download to your phone - there is no scrolling, timed audio commentary you plug your earphones into like on other hop on/off tours. Even with the app, the audio clips are very simple, repetitive, and poorly timed, not really following the routes. We ended up paying for vaporetto anyway because we didn't want to wait for hours on Murano/Burano. I hate to write a negative review as the staff seemed helpful - they came to find you if you were near the stop - and the boats we rode were on time. I just wish I had done my homework on this one - it turned out to be a waste of money. The best water audio "tour" we had was the 1 line vaporetto using the free Rick Steves 40-min podcast audio guide. I would guess there are other self-guided audio tours you could download that would be more informative anyway, or just book guided walking tours. I also realized the flexibility of the vaporetto, with multiple lines and frequent boats, provided a much better means to navigate this beautiful city. Even for my fellow fans of hop on hop off, do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Beware you might end up using another form of transportation if their boat never shows up! - When I first saw the offered hop on hop off boat excursion, I thought that it would be the perfect solution for us, so we booked 2 48 hour tickets. We sometimes have walking issues and thought that it would be a good way to see the various islands of Venice. When we arrived in Venice from the airport we passed by a Venetiana tour boat…it looked great , I thought! The next day we stood by the dock nearest our hotel a half hour earlier than their first scheduled stop. I asked a few people, including one at a nearby “official” information center plus I had referred to the boat company’s website. No boat showed up after an hour and a half…maybe tomorrow? (Again a no show!)We ended up buying and using public transportation for touring Venice which was okay but not the tour that we imagined. Only one other time during our 4 days had we noticed a Venetiana boat. If we had initially boarded their boat the question is how long would we have had to wait to finish our tour or would we have been stranded and resort to the public transportation.

Absolute rip-off with hop on hop off - Purely commercial orientation and no sign of hop on hop off, not even in the beginning. The timetable is so coordinated that you had to stay at the approached place. For example in Murano with a visit to a glass blowing shop followed by a sales show with significantly inflated prices. Ca. 20% more than in the gift shop on St. Mark's Square. The sound could have been heard via an app, but impossible without ear studs. None were distributed. Absolutely not recommended.
