- Murano - Our driver will pick you up from your hotel/apartment/B&B in Rome and bring you to the rail station. A staff member will be waiting for you with your tickets and help to take the train to Venice. On your arrival in Venice, your private boat driver will wait for you holding a sign with your name at the station dock. Your unforgettable island tour starts with Murano. Murano is world-famous for Venice glass. You will have the chance to see a glassmaker blowing into a tube to create whatever he wants, even one of those whimsical chandeliers. - Burano - You will have your private transfer to Burano a picturesque island with multicolor houses along the canals. It is a paradise where inhabitants welcome you with flowers on their balconies and the art of “merletto” (a delicate lace). - Piazza San Marco - At the end of the Venice Islands Tour, you will have a final transfer to St. Mark’s Square. You will have 3 hours of free time to visit the marvelous city center and reach the rail station with your guide that will assist for the train back to Rome. You will explore the main highlights like Rialto Bridge, and Bridge of Sights, St. Marks Square buidings and Basilica (from the outside) and other sites you will see on the way. On your arrival at Termini station, your driver will bring you to the comfort of your hotel.

A day trip from Rome to Venice is feasible, provided everything goes smoothly. This tour offers hotel pickup and drop-off in Rome. High-speed train tickets ensure a swift 4-hour journey to Venice, allowing ample time for a private boat tour of the main islands in the Venetian Lagoon, sightseeing around St. Mark’s Square with a private guide, and an optional gondola ride. Enjoy a private experience without the inconvenience of a large group tour. The local agency will assist with train tickets.
- IMPORTANT: To optimize your time in Venice, we suggest to have a snack during the trip. If you do not have time to organize for it before the departure, the trains always have at least one restaurant/bar wagon and or vending machines. Every wagon has its toilet, we also suggest to use, instead of queuing at the rail station.
- NOTE: Because of small docks and lots of traffic, private boats cannot wait for more than 3-5 minutes for your embarkation. Drivers require maximum punctuality to guides and guests.
- WHATSAPP: we advice to share with us your mobile number with a Whatsapp connection. On your train, you can recharge your mobile phones with individual electrical and USB sockets and accede to a free WiFi connection.
- GLASS FACTORIES: Glass factories allow guests to visit their laboratories and arrange private, complimentary demonstrations. After the demonstration, they will lead you to their precious showroom, where they showcase their best artworks. If you are interested in purchasing large items, they can arrange safe shipping. The visit is worth it, even if you are not looking to make a purchase but enjoy it.

Day trip to Venice - Trying to visit the many beautiful sites in Italy is challenging. We decided to take a day trip from Rome to Venice by Train. Left the hotel at 6:50am and returned in the evening at 11:00pm. The trip was will coordinated, from our hotel pickup to ensuring we got on the right train, our tour guide (Donatella) met us in Venice. She coordinated our tour and was very knowable concerning the history of Venice. She made sure we got back on the right train at 6:30pm. Our driver was waiting for us when we returned to Rome and drove us to our hotel.
I would definitely recommend this trip.

Highlight of our Trip! - What a great day! Our guide, Donatella, gave us the best visit to Venice, Murano and Burano. It was a long day, but we were not rushed at any location (although we cut it pretty close getting to our train back to Rome, but we made it with 2 minutes to spare :)), had time to look around, get snacks and dinner. Donatella gave us so much information about each island and helped us get a good spot for a gondola ride. I highly recommend this tour!!

Highlight of our vacation - This trip to Venice was the highlight of our vacation. My 82 year old mother said she had always secretly wished to ride in a gondola! Our guide Daria handled our group well (kids, adults, and several older ladies). It was nice not to have to worry about logistics. The communication from Elisabetta was great.

Don’t Miss Private Tour of Venice! - This trip via Viator, was the best tour of our trip. It was worry free. They picked us up at our hotel and had a guide meet us every step of the way. The island tour was fabulous and our guides were amazing. This is a must if you are in Rome. We loved it!

Venice experience - The family wanted to experience as much of Italy as possible so we chose this tour from Rome. We were picked up at our hotel on time so we could make the 7:35 am train to Venice. A provider representative had our tickets at the train station and showed us where to board our train. The ride was about 3 hrs each way but comfortable and interesting to see the countryside outside Rome.
We had a little difficulty finding our boat in Venice in spite of having directions from the provider. No signs with our name, several small boats. Our family really enjoyed the ride to Murano and Burano.
Our Venice tour guide, Danielle, met us after that at the boat dock, holding a Venice flag. We walked through the city but didn’t go into the Basilica or Doges Palace as I thought we would. Long train ride back to Rome.

Not optimal time to go - Venice started out beautiful but after visiting the islands the weather changed drastically. We were drenched. But Donatella (bless her heart) drove on with the tour. I would suggest a backup plan for inclement weather.
Pro: Having a driver and assistant to help me with the train was a great help! Also the boat captain was instrumental in getting us from island to island safely.
Con: Pretty expensive for not having lunch included. Watch out for the vendors. They put much pressure on you to purchase items so one must be adamant if not interested.
I would recommend this tour in warmer months. Donatella was very educated on the history of Venice.
