“Molto Bene” tour of St. Mark’s Basilica. - Our guide “Rebecca” was fantastic. Very informative, covered a lot of details that would have been missed if we toured on our own. Highly recommended!

Was a nice tour. Our... - Was a nice tour. Our guider was knowledgeable and kind. She just talked a little too slow and it was very hot in the church. Need to be quicker on hot days.

Good overview. - Good overview of St. Mark’s. Could not always hear the guide.
I was happy that I booked the time of the tour to coincide with the lights coming on in the Bascilica and the striking of the bell of the clock tower.

St Mark's Basilica guided tour - The basilica is gorgeous. Although very nice, the tour guide told more pious legends than actual history.

I wish I'd queued and gone alone. - It is incredibly difficult to listen with one earpiece, take photos, and follow a group through a crowd. We never knew how long we would stop and where.

Breathtaking place - The tour guide had a great deal of knowledge about the history of St. Mark’s Basilica, but it was very heard to understand her. About 5 people in the group ended up leaving half way through the tour because they could hear or understand the tour guide.

Guide wasn’t good - Guide wasn’t good at all. Very fast talking and could not understand her very well. The church was beautiful of course which made up for the guide. Wish I’d learned more about it

Difficult to Understand - Although the guide seemed to be knowledgeable, it was very difficult to understand. We have been on several other guided tours with guides that had accents, but this was definitely the hardest for us English speakers to understand. Aside from that, this tour was also packed and hot, that may just be a symptom of the landmark itself. Nonetheless, I would recommend a self tour of the Basilica.

Very disappointed - Because of plane delays and flight cancellations, we arrived in Venice a day late and completely missed this tour. I called to cancel and hopefully get a refund but was told that since I hadn't canceled 24 hours in advance there were no refunds. Very disappointed.

Tour guide was terrible - This was honesty the worst tour of my life. The guide’s English was very poor, the headphones were spotty and she communicated incorrect information, which caused us to miss out on the part of the tour that I was looking forward to the most. The guide was so bad that we decided to continue the tour on our own once we got inside, however what she (and the ticket details) failed to mention is that SHE has to purchase the terrace/museum tickets. Therefore, we could not access it ourselves. Way overpriced ticket. It’s a shame/scam that all these tour companies buy up all the direct entrance tickets, just to profit off of those that can’t get an entrance ticket, by selling a sham tour. Never again.
