Venice, I have fallen in love! - I spent the afternoon with Lucrezia and had the most amazing experience! Lu took me to places in Venice that I never would have discovered without her. She was so knowledgeable about the history, art and culture of the Floating City. Lu even gave me recommendations for several local restaurants and the best gelato in all of Venice! This private tour was so memorable and truly a highlight of my time in Venice.

Pretty much the best tour experience I’ve ever had! - Our tour guy, Niccolo was absolutely amazing. He had his own boat and took us all around most of the canals in Venice. He knew intimate history about Venice as his family resided there for many generations. He was even able to accommodate us and drop us off at a location of our choosing. I would highly recommend Niccolo and the tour to anyone considering it.

Food tour with Genny - Genny was the most wonderful tour guide we could have asked for! This tour was our first activity in Venice and set us up for the most amazing trip! We enjoyed all of the stops and felt so taken care of! Genny gave us so much valuable information about each stop and continued to reply to all of our questions throughout the trip as well! She was so accommodating and gave us some great insight that we would not have learned with a more generic touristy experience. Highly recommend this tour with Genny

Romy Brings 1000 years of Venitian History to Life! - Romy was an amazing guide!! We learned so much history and many local secrets during our two sessions. She took us on a beautiful Sunday afternoon walk through the city - a treat with this native Venetian!!! On a second meeting she took us in depth to the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's cathedral. Taking us through 1000 years of history of the Venetian Republic! Lovers of history and art will love Romy's expertise! Thank you for a wonderful visit!!

A wonderful guide and beautiful experience! - Our tour guide was Genny and my wife and I could not have possibly been blessed with a more wonderful person to guide us. She was a wealth of information happily ready to answer all of our many questions about this beautiful city. She showed us through a customized experience and when we were done she went above and beyond to be sure we made it to our next destination safely. We will always remember the experience she showed us as our favorite Venician adventure. We highly highly recommend this tour if you want to experience Venice through the eyes of a true local.

Alessandro was AMAZING! - Alessandro was absolutely fantastic. Our tour was perfect, we learned so much from him and he truly loved what he was doing. He was incredibly passionate about his city and was full of knowledge. I would recommend this tour to anyone and especially with Alessandro. It was a perfect afternoon and a perfect way to celebrate our honeymoon in Venice! So impressed with this app/company and their guides.

A private, off the beaten path tour of Venice - Lucrezia responded very quickly and made it really easy to book the tour. We’ve been to Venice before and wanted something a bit more personal. Before we met she provided a (big) list of restaurants and recommendations - very nice! We arrived in San Marco and wound our way through lots of little streets until the meeting point - Lucrezia was already there and her tour was informative, interesting and obviously because you are a small group you get all the attention and time to ask questions. I can heartily recommend Lucrezia and withlocals.com, don’t hesitate - just book it - you won’t be disappointed.

Extraordinary tour of Venice - On our "Away from the Crowds tour" in October 2019, Giada led us to places we'd never found on our own. It was really exciting to see Venice through the eyes of a local. I highly recommend a tour with her as she knows to tell fascinating things about places and buildings. She also is interested in her guests and makes them feel comfortable.

Just Average Run of the Mill - For a city as fascinating and steeped with history as Venice, our guide’s info and/or enthusiasm for this amazing place was lacking. Run of the mill info was offered…”this is where an Indiana Jones movie was filmed…”. Really!!! That was so long ago, and I am sure other, more contemporary and interesting things have happened in Venice since that filming. A guide needs to assess his/her group and make a judgement call on what info to present to whom. Cookie cutter info doesn’t cut it. One would think the ability to redirect and switch gears with information would be a key skill of any “expert” guide especially after taking 10-15 minutes at the start getting to know us. Maybe (hopefully) this was an off day.
