Great Photo Tour of Venice - Marco not only helped us take great photos, but he showed us Venice from the local view point. Highly recommend this tour whether you are an experienced or novice photographer. You will take better pictures and learn how to use your camera like never before.

Wonderful experience - We actually scheduled a 3-hour walk for the early morning for two of us and 2 hours in the evening with our spouses. Simone was terrific at both. In the morning, he planned an approach that moved us from place to place to take advantage of the early morning light from before sunrise until after. When the sun got higher we went to places where exposure to the sun was not an issue. Throughout, he taught us techniques of settings and composition to make the best of each situation. Along the way, he imparted tremendous knowledge about Venice, the history and the present. We learned more about the city from him than from any other guides in Venice that week. And, we ended up with great photos with which to remember Venice and our photo walks. The evening walk was through quieter neighborhoods and ended with a great venue to capture the end-of-day light on the Grand Canal. One of Simone's approaches was to have us look on our photography as telling a story which was really helpful, not just in taking the photos but in using them later. I would highly recommend Simone for a photo walk of Venice.

Amazing photo tour! - When our original photo tour guide became ill, Simone stepped in to take our tour. What an excellent guide he was, too! His passion for Venice and its craftsmen is engaging, and he is a kind and patient teacher. We went off the beaten path for some excellent shots and gave us pointers along the way. My husband had a new camera, and Simone made sure he understood what all the buttons and settings meant. This was the best tour of our entire two week vacation! Thank you, Simone!

Great day with Simone - Simone is a great guide, great teacher and just a very nice fellow. Simone took us through both typical photo opportunities as well as less iconic but no less beautiful areas of Venice. He has extensive knowledge of the local culture and was able to help us capture the story and visual beauty of Venice with his help with our basic photography skills. Our 13 year old girls also learned a lot about photography from Simone and said he was one of the best aspects of our visit to Venice. Highly recommended.

Fantastic! - Me and my husband has a wonderful afternoon with Stefano on the 3 hour private photo walk.
He met us at our apartment and set a cracking pace (so wear good shoes). This was fine with us because we were able to cover so much ground and spend more time taking photos.
Stefano has incredible passion and knowledge about Venice which he shared with us. I've left the tour with amazing photos that I'll treasure. He also helped me with some simple tips to use my camera which have helped me so much, because I was ashamedly previously using on automatic!
Thanks again Stefano for a wonderful afternoon!

Perfect morning photo walk in Venice with Simone! - I met Simone at 7am to begin our photo walk. It was a most amazing, fun, interesting, and enlightening three hours! First of all, Simone is extremely personable, and is passionate about the art and process of photography. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations, which accompanied the photo-taking.
We walked & took photos around St. Mark's, the market near Rialto, photographed some gondoliers as they prepared their boats for the day in Dorsoduro, and walked into Cannaregio and Castello. All the time, Simone was instructing me and challenging me with opportunities to practice my photography. He also encouraged me as I ventured a bit "out of my comfort zone" to take candid shots of people. I learned so much!!
I can highly recommend a photo walking tour with Simone. He is kind, knowledgeable, and an excellent tutor. This was absolutely the best way for me to (1) home my photography skills and (2) see Venice's back streets with the perfect guide!

Excellent photo tour with Simone - My husband and I joined the 3 hour walking tour with Simone. It's our first time to Venice. Simone gave me great tips about composition and we learnt a lot of interesting facts about the history of the city. Definitely very informative and allowed us to explore the beautiful Venice through the eyes of a professional photographer.

Favorite Part of my Trip! - I had a fantastic 3 hour morning private photo walk with Stefano! Communication prior to the tour was great, they let me know exactly where to be and provided a map to ensure I knew how to get there. Stefano is from Venice originally, so he knew exactly where to go to get the best shots and avoid the crowds. Throughout the tour, we covered a TON of ground, seeing all of the major sites but also exploring back alleys and interesting locations that I otherwise would have never found.
Stefano was very patient and gave fantastic advice on how to frame photos before taking them. While I consider myself a somewhat skilled photographer, he showed me features of my camera that I did not even know existed. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do this tour till my last day which is my one regret because I would have loved to have more time to utilize the tips and tricks he taught me. Along with all of the photography advice, Stefano also shared a lot of great information about the history of Venice as we explored and even bought me a coffee when we needed a short break.
Overall - if you are considering doing one of these tours - I would highly recommend it!
