After our walking tour, we will explore Venice from the canals using a private water taxi. Next, ‘Let’s sip on some ‘shadows’’. This is a call to enjoy a beverage, specifically a modest glass of wine (a ‘shadow’), along with some Cicchetti- bite-sized snacks typically found in traditional ‘bàcari’. Cicchetti form an integral part of Venetian culture, not merely for the food, but also for how, when, and where they are enjoyed – casually with fingers and toothpicks.
