- Veranos - The adventure begins when our Veraneando Adventure ride picks you up at your hotel, you can ask for beverages during the drive to town (approx 40 minutes); water, coffee or juice. Upon arrival, a shaman will welcome you and hand you clay so you can take a mud bath and exfoliate your skin. Once the mud is dry, you will wash it out with water and then go into the Temazcal. You will sit around a start to sweat with the steam generated by volcanic stones and fragant herbs. Here you will thank our Mother Earth for everything you have and will ask for help to remove yourself from everything you don´t need. Because of its shape, the Temazcal represents the womb from our Mother Earth. Inside, you will work with its four elements: earth, wind, fire and water to purify and harmonize your body, soul and spirit. Later, you will enjoy a regional meal before your ride back; Tequila Cheese, Machaca Burritos, Beans, Salsa, Tortillas and your choice of beverage. Veraneando Adventure is the greatest and most enjoyable way to entertain yourself around the regional flora and fauna. Besides, you´ll have time to go to our hot springs and tequila factory where you will taste the best tequila in town.

Perfect Day of Rejuvenation - This experience was just delightful. My 16 year old daughter and I absolutely loved it. The little village in which the experience happens is remote, quaint and calming. The mineral spring pool soak, mud scrub and steam were just what we needed. We also very much enjoyed the authenticity of it all, including the food. Our guides, including our driver, throughout this day were nothing but stellar. We’ve done many experiences through Viator throughout the world and this one ranks as a favorite.

What a great day. The... - What a great day. The warm pools to soak in where great, mud made our skin feel fab, and the sauna was also good. Our driver, Hector, was great. Lunch in the village was very authentic and delicious. Good range of tequila flavours to choose from too. Don't get caught up too long in the distillery though, head to the leather and jewellery shop where jeweller Jose Luis has a beautiful range of jewellery with unique and stunning settings and coloured stones. An enjoyable day out well worth the money.

A Must Do - Everyone made sure that you had a truly relaxing, authentic Mexican experience. I will be back again when I come to Mazatlan

Highly recommend even if not as advertised on Trip Advisor. - It was an interesting experience but there was no Shaman to guide you. We put on our own mud and later washed it off. The warm pool with spring water was refreshing. The sweat lodge/hut was amazing!!!! Felt so good for the body! Highly recommend it even if it wasn’t as advertised. The meal was delicious and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Mindfulness & Tacos - I was excited about this experience because I am big believer in mindfulness. The company was great about sending me a message with their projected arrival time at my hotel; however, they were almost 30 mins late. I was worried I would miss “the event”. I called the company and they explained that the shuttle was running late due to the other customers they were picking up. I wish I had known how far the drive was to the ranch, so I could have planned my bathroom visit accordingly. It turned out to be a 20-25 mins ride. Once we arrived, it was cool to see they had cows, chickens, horseback riding and ATV riding, all on the same ranch. The owner was great about talking to each family individually & he was quick to find our “shaman”. Within 5-10 mins, the shaman found us and led us to the sweat lodge. Thankfully, we had worn our swimsuits under our clothes and were able to pull off the outer layers without wasting any more time or having to parade past the folks eating lunch. She applied mud to each of us, then tried to recite the shaman prayers in broken English, but we couldn’t quite understand her. Nevertheless, the intention was there. We sat on chairs inside the sweat lodge for about 45 mins. She had to coordinate with someone outside the lodge for more heated stones to produce the steam, which was a bit distracting. We could also hear the ATVs driving around. Once we were finished, we did have to parade past the folks eating lunch…so bring towels. We had 2 showers of cold water available to rub off the mud, the best that we could. Then we sat down for a good meal of shredded beef tacos, with beans, guacamole & watermelon…and of course, many taste test rounds of tequila. They have a splash pool where some kids were playing. They have the distillery equipment on the grounds for people to tour and talk to the owner about. After about 4+ hrs, we tracked down our shuttle driver and made our way back to the hotel. We would definitely do the tour again.

A nice few hours - The best part was the driver Fernando who had great historical knowledge of the local area and went out of his way to stop and show things along the hour drive to the hot springs. He was awesome!

A relaxing way to spend an hour or so - There isn’t a shaman, it’s just an attendant that rubs mud on you and then looks after pouring water and herbs over the hot stones inside the sweat lodge. It’s still very pleasant but it’s definitely not a spiritual or indigenous ceremony of any sort.

Wish I hadn't signed up for this experience. - It was an experience that was not described accurately. I was uncomfortable most of this trip - the roads we traveled to the ranch were not public roadways. The mud/clay that they placed on our bodies was scratchy and did not make my skin feel great, the shaman was a new female employee who kept us in the hut what seemed like hours, the steam never made us sweat no matter how many stones were put inside. There was no hot springs to bathe in afterwards but only a very cold shower to wash off the clay/mud. The meal and tequila was good but since we were not happy about the so-called spiritual experience, an ATF trip was offered. We found out that the original trip that had been advertised had been taken over by the cartel which did not make us feel anymore secure. We waited for a long time to take the ATF tour and I did not enjoy it at all though I admit I never ever really wanted to go on an ATF tour. It was something that I felt was dangerous and unnecessary. Ultimately I was sorry that I went on a trip that lasted over 7 hours instead of the 4 hours that was advertised.

Waste of our vacation time - We cancelled the temazcal at 9am while we were in the restaurant and before we left because it was going to be led by an inexperienced person. The website said that a shaman would lead the temazcal and so did the people we talked to. This is justy false advertising. It is more of a spa experience than a spiritual experience
The next day we discovered that veraneando adventures overcharged our visa significantly. I was supposed to be 2,652 pesos but my visa was charged 2,652 US$.
I called 2 different veraneando phone numbers that were no help. They said that all they received was 2,652 pesos.
I have reported this to visa and i am disputing the payment. Visa agrees that veraneando charged and received 2,652 US$.
I am disappointed in the whole veraneando adventure experience! It was a waste of our precious vacation time.
