The Thrill of the Ride

As a former professional athlete, I’ve chased adrenaline across the globe, from the peaks of the Himalayas to the depths of the Grand Canyon. But nothing quite prepared me for the heart-pounding excitement of the Zipline and ATV Combo in Veranos. The adventure began the moment our van picked us up from the hotel. The village itself was a treasure trove of local culture and craftsmanship. We stopped at a leather shop where I couldn’t resist buying a pair of beautifully crafted sandals. The jewelry, made from Mexican silver, was equally stunning, each piece a testament to the artistry of the local artisans. Dulce, who helped us with our purchases, was a delight, her passion for her craft evident in every word.

A Taste of Tradition

No adventure in Veranos would be complete without indulging in the local cuisine. After our ATV escapade, we were treated to a feast of regional delicacies: Tequila Cheese, Machaca Burritos, Beans, Salsa, and Tortillas. Each bite was a celebration of flavor, a culinary journey that complemented the day’s adventures perfectly.

And then, of course, there was the tequila. Crafted right in the village, the tequila tasting was an experience unto itself. From the smooth reposado to the unique flavors of almond, coffee, hibiscus, and mango, each sip was a revelation. Tony, the tequila maker, shared his knowledge and passion with us, making the tasting as educational as it was enjoyable.

As the day drew to a close, I reflected on the incredible experiences and the warm hospitality of the people of Veranos. This was more than just an adventure; it was a journey into the heart of Mexico, a chance to connect with its people and its culture in a way that few experiences offer.
