Great tour for history buffs - Very interesting and a must see when visiting thessaloniki. Alexandros our driver and guide was very polite and friendly. Ended up being a private tour and he was able to pick us up from our hotel outside of the city for an additional fee.

Good day out if archeological sites and museums are your thing - Our guide Alexandros was charming and kind with a clear interest in all aspects of Alexander The Great We visited the site of Pella which is big and we had plenty of time to explore… no time limitations at all as only a small party of 4 ! Next came the visit to the Pella museum, lovely modern building holding all the finds! Mosaics top for me! The highlight was the Royal Tombs at Vergina wonderful finds and a great museum- fantastic! I think details did say breakfast included ! but no breakfast. Safely driven there and back with the added bonus of the agricultural drive through cotton plants, peach and kiwi trees Alexandros was a lovely host and did his absolute best to make sure we had a great day

Discover Macedonia - Recommended for those without a car in Macedonia. The Guide, a local boy, is simply exceptional and manages to convey to you his great passion for Alexander the Great and the great Macedonian empire. He knows life, death and miracles of the great leader and in general of Macedonian history while also revealing some secrets and theories that are not in the history books. I forgot .. the Guide’s name could only be Alessandro of course 😁

Tour at Royal Tombs of Aigai and Museum of Pella - Alex our tour leader was very knowledgeable about the history of Macedonia. One of the folks on our tour asked about local produce. He stopped and showed us a peach orchard. Great tour. Would recommend

A Trip Worth taking from Thessaloniki - Our cruise ship did not offer an excursion to the Royal Tombs of Aigaiso we booked this tour. Alexander our driver told us about the history of Philip II and Alexander as well as information about the region in general during our ride from the cruise port to the Royal Tombs. He was very informative. The tombs themselves are very impressive. There is an informative video and the exhibit is well laid out. There is a second museum close to the Tombs with archeological artifacts. We did not have enough time to visit Pella. I would recommend this tour without reservation.
