Very knowledgeable tour guide - Okay, I was booked for the food walking tour with a group. I ended up with a tour guide named Alessandro and I was by myself. It was a tour of Verona, not a food tour.
Now Alessandro was very very good and I enjoyed the tour immensely. But it was not what I signed up for

A beautiful city with delicious sample along the way. - Food tours have become part of our travel experiences now. We have done many and this one did not disappoint. Martina was our guide and we really enjoyed her knowledge and company. We sampled lots of food (some unusual and glad to have had opportunity to try) and beverages. We took a day trip from Venice to Verona so we had only one day in Verona. This was the way to do it. Martina brought us to all the scenic sites, taught us the history of the city and we ate a lot while doing it. What could be more perfect?! See, learn and taste the city at the same time. We also loved that Martina joined us while eating! I would have been awkward if she watched us eat but that was never an issue. She loves the local food too and joined right in with us which made us so happy.

Beautiful Verona! - Alessandro was the perfect host to guide us through Verona! We knew very little about this small city before our tour and Alessandro went into great depth sharing it’s complex history- not just the larger history but the fine details and pointing out things we would have never noticed. Details of the frescos, statues, marble sidewalks, windows, mosaics, churches, bridges, buildings that brought the past to life and have us a sense of the people who lived there. He chose food stops off the tourist path that were fantastic and gave us an authentic taste of what the residents enjoy eating. He gave us additional suggestions for activities and dining to continue exploring after the tour ended. He is a lifelong resident and his love for his hometown is evident. His tour was the highlight of our time in Verona! If you love history, delicious authentic food, and making a new friend, please spend time in Verona with Alessandro!

A definite 'must do' when in Verona - We had a lovely afternoon with Martina. It was so nice to get to know her better and understand what the Italian lifestyle is truly like. She has a wonderful knowledge of Verona and it's restaurants. We tried foods and drinks that we never would have attempted without her advice. La bottega della Gina was my favourite - the truffle pasta was SUBLIME!!

NOT a FOOD tour. -
This was NOT a foodie tour. We had one glass of wine, a little pizza, one coffee, a gelato and some small cookies. Great walking history tour with a local, but TERRIBLE food tour. We weren’t provided anything we wouldn’t have found on our own. Our guide pointed out restaurants he recommended for later but did not offer to feed us what was advertised.

Definitely Not a Food Tour - Be Aware of A Very Misleading Tour Description & An Itinerary That May Not Be Delivered - This tour did not deliver any of the food inclusions that were advertised.
The tour provided was a walking history tour of Verona and we experienced none of the food itinerary that was clearly advertised in the tour description and what we paid for.
We have requested a full refund from the provider, as the tour description was misleading and the advertised "Foodie" inclusions were not offered in any form by our guide that had similar poor reviews in delivering this tour to other guests.
We definitely do not recommend booking this tour of you are looking for a quality food tour.
