Discovering the city of love at Christmas - In Verona during the Christmas period you will find a city that is both Christmassy and romantic. The city is always beautiful but this period gives it a special charm. Every year from mid-November to the end of December, Piazza dei Signori, Cortile Mercato Vecchio, Cortile del Tribunal, Loggia del Consiglio and Arsenale take on a magical Christmas atmosphere. Wooden houses inspired by the Christkindlmarkt of Nuremberg are expanding in the historic center, offering crafts and typical traditional products: glass/wood/ceramic ornaments, gift ideas, Alto Adige/South Tyrol gastronomic specialities, Christmas sweets, Christmas objects... The most important event of Christmas in Verona: the CHRISTMAS MARKETS. Open every day from 10:00 to 21:30, but on Fridays and Saturdays and on holidays until 23:00. It will be truly impossible to resist buying some souvenirs at the markets to take home or to give as gifts to friends and/or relatives. While we're here, why not take the opportunity to discover more in Verona? - the WORLD NATIVITY REVIEW which hosts 400 nativity scenes from all over the world - the ARENA Roman amphitheater that makes Verona famous throughout the world. It hosted gladiator shows while today it is a grandiose stage for important musical performances. - JULIET'S HOUSE, a 13th century building with a Gothic style portal that leads into the courtyard from where you can see JULIET'S BALCONY for free which saw the birth of love between the two boys and the BRONZE STATUE OF JULIET with the lucky charm in love of "touching Juliet's breast". Tourist stop and invented as it contains points of reference from William Shakespeare's story. If you want, you can also combine JULIET'S TOMB with the ticket, which is however located in an ancient convent of Capuchin friars - the HOUSE OF ROMEO, the CATHEDRAL, the CHURCH OF SAN ZENO, CASTELVECCHIO MUSEUM - P.ZZA DEI SIGNORI where the administrative power of the city is concentrated. In the center of the square is the statue of Dante. Rich in monumental buildings connected to each other by porticoes and arches. - the BRIDGES OF VERONA the Adige river crosses and cuts the city in two, the bridges have therefore always played an essential function. - P.ZZA DELLE ERBE the oldest in the city and is surrounded by buildings and monuments that have marked the history of Verona. Palaces, towers, statues and architectural elements from various eras have overlapped, creating a harmonious, unique and rare collage. - P.ZZA BRA or the starting point for visiting the city. It is the largest square in Verona. Full of restaurants, bars, picturesque and modern clubs to experience the Veronese nightlife. The "entrance hall" before reaching the historic center. Characterized by numerous historic buildings from different eras and by the promenade paved with pink marble from Valpolicella.
