Highlights
  • Arena di Verona - We start the Verona Private Walking Tour from one of Verona’s landmarks, the Arena in the Bra Square. This ancient Roman amphitheater is one of best preserved in the world. It dates back to 30 AD and is still in use for cultural events to this day! Piazza Bra is the largest piazza in Verona and home to a wonderful ancient market. This old market of Verona has inspired famous Veronese artists such as the painter Angelo Dall’Oca Bianca and the poet Berto Barbarani. the largest piazza in Verona. Here we will learn about the political and economic ancient life. Here we will learn about the political and economic ancient life of this romantic city.
  • Casa di Giulietta - Around the corner from this dazzling square we will find the house of one of Verona’s most famous lovers, Shakespeare’s Juliet. The courtyard from where you can see the famous (and infamous) balcony breathes love and has evidence of it, literally, all over the walls. The house is where the tragic drama Romeo and Juliet took place.
  • Piazza dei Signori - But Verona is not only the town of love, it’s also one of the most important medieval towns of North Italy. That’s why, in the heart of the historical center, we can find the headquarters of the powerful Scaligeri family: Signori Square or, as the Veronese call it, Dante Square, nowadays one of the most romantic corners of the town.
  • Verona - Verona has amazingly beautiful off the beaten track alleys that your local private tour guide will take you through. Your guide will gladly point out where you find the best Veronese Osteria with the most traditional and delicious regional food. The side streets brings us to the river Adige, that still flows into its ancient bed, where the Romans found it when they settled down at the feet of Lessini Mountains. From here we have an incredible view of Ponte Pietra, The Roman Theatre and the Archeological Museum.

Before we head back to where we started your local tour guide will give you the option to see some of the other interesting sites in Verona such as the cathedral, the Carega district with the ateliers of local artists or Castelvecchio and the Arch of the Gavi family.

Perfect for our first trip to Verona - Sylvia was an amazing guide who customized our walking tour as we went along, helping the boys with their treasure hunt from the tourist center and taking us to all the highlights. We loved learning the history as we walked and she was the perfect guide. She also made recommendations for a great pizza place we enjoyed. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see and hear about the main historical places in Verona, and she took great family pictures to us!

Lovely walking tour of Verona - My family of 13 (ages 9 to 72) had a wonderful time with Silvia in Verona. She arrived promptly at our meeting place and connected with us all immediately, turns out we were staying in her hometown outside of Verona. We felt like we were an extension of her family walking around Verona. She presented information in a way that was easy to follow. She was mindful to stop for discussion in the shaded areas, away from the heat of the sun. She included information on Verona history and architecture, current events and restaurants. And provided thoughtful recommendations for the remainder of our stay. It was a lovely way to be introduced to Verona and the area. Thank you Silvia for spending your morning with us!

Excellent introduction to the beautiful city of Verona - Our private tour began on time with a guide that was so educated and shared so many Interesting facts from history to architecture to art combined with amusing anecdotes. She was clearly brilliant and loves her job. She made me want to return to Verona in the future. LivTours is a wonderful company and booking the tour was fast and easy and the followup was sincere with feedback. I would absolutely book another tour with LivTour. My only criticism was that the time went too fast !:)

Best Tour Ever! - We cannot say enough good things about our time in Venice with LivTours'Romy. She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic – even in the rain and wind, she never faltered! Romy’s English was impeccable . To top off our first rate tour she even managed to make it stop raining for our gondola ride! So happy we’ve discovered LivTours. See you in Verona!

Excellent evening seeing Venice through the very knowledgeable eyes of Nico our tour guide! - We had Nico as our Tour Guide on a Private Walking Tour and Gondola Ride. Nico was warm, funny, and made us very comfortable as he showed us the city he loves and is so very knowledgeable about. His passion for Venice was contagious and made for an enjoyable way to learn about the history of the city and walk through local areas away from all the tourist paths. We cannot say enough good things about Nico and this tour!

Excellent tour of Verona - We had a beautiful morning with Silvia touring Verona! We learned so much about the city, to include even food and wine typical of the area! This tour was a great way to see & learn a lot of what Verona has to offer in a short amount of time - absolutely recommend this tour - even with careful planning we would have missed a LOT about the city if we tried to do it ourselves. Not to mention, we asked Silvia for a good lunch recommendation & had the best pasta (a Tagliolini Truffle & Ricotta pasta) of our trip (of my life?!). Thank you for a wonderful morning, Silvia!

Liv Tours are the Best! - We are so impressed with Liv Tours. We missed our connection out of London due to a flight delay and we had to try to reschedule our tour in Verona. Liv Tours was very responsive and quickly helped us rebook our tour. We met Silvia at the designated spot (we drove from Milan to Verona so we had to find parking - thankfully it wasn't too crowded). Silvia was an awesome guide & easy to understand. She took us to several spots and explained the history, that if we were on our own, we would have missed. She shared interesting facts around Verona. Very beautiful area. So glad we didn't miss this tour!
