Embark on a half-day tour of the Palace of Versailles and Gardens of Versailles, both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Guided by an expert in French history, venture into the Palace of Versailles, the majestic residence where King Louis XIV formally established his court and administration in 1682. Absorb the grandeur of the palace’s Baroque architecture, appreciate its galleries overflowing with art, and get a glimpse into the lifestyles of some of the most notorious aristocrats.
- The tickets for the Musical Show or Fountain Show are included. You will be able to watch the shows during the tour and stay in the gardens after your half-day guided tour has finished.
- Bring your own headphones if you have them; standard jack, not Bluetooth
- The scheduled time access can be slowed down on peak days due to various safety controls established by the Versailles Palace
- Baby strollers could be refused at the entrance of the palace
- The time on your voucher is the meeting time at the agency (tour departs few minutes after). In case of late arrival for the check-in, we cannot guarantee access to the palace, fees will be applied if another slot time is available for a rescheduling

The best way to appreciate the Splendor and Opulence of the Chateau de Versailles - We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Firstly, we were able to completely skip the long line. Secondly, our guide, Benedicte, was personable, knowledgeable, and she had a great sense of humor. Our guide’s account of life at the Chateau de Versailles gave us a colorful and interesting picture of the Sun king and the royal family. I would highly recommend getting a guide to adequately appreciate all the splendor and opulence that the Palace of Versailles has to offer!

Wow! - Wow! Amazing experience. Francesco was an incredible guide, breathing life into the stories of Versailles. Went with my two teen daughters. We were mesmerized and didn’t notice the crowds around us. Don’t go to Versailles without a guide. Gardens are a beautiful end to the tour.

Great time! - Wonderful experience, great guide, recommend highly. The palace was beautiful and the gardens are amazing. Take the time to walk around and explore the park after seeing the palace.

Just ok - It was ok. Very unorganized trying to get tickets (took an hour total to get the tickets from Versailles and then to get inside through the “special entrance”), everything after seemed rushed. So many people at Versailles (though that is not the fault of the tour/Viator) but it made a “guided tour” rather pedestrian when we could have simply rented the audio guide provided by Versailles.
I’m not sure this tour was worth the extra money.
