Excellent Guide plus Fall colors in October. - We took the English speaking tour. Our guide, Gabrielle, was friendly, professional, and full of interesting information. On a busy day, we appreciated the “Skip the line” tickets at each location. The fall colors of the trees made October a beautiful time to walk the grounds of Versailles. We recommend avoiding Paris trip during 2 week Fall school break.

Well worth it! - Versailles was breathtaking. We got to see so much in this tour and it was well worth it. We could not have had a better guide, Gabriella. She gave us information we could have never known without her. She was so fun, kind, and just absolutely wonderful. Gabriella is the best! Thank you!

Versailles - Such a magical place. Great history and the grounds of the palace are extraordinary. Isabelle was a great host. She was very knowledgeable about the history but also very funny in a good way. It was a long day but we enjoyed every minute. Tucker office was very easy to find from the train station.

Great way to learn Versailles history - Sophie Anne was an excellent tour guide, so knowledgeable and helpful. She saved us by bringing spare umbrellas when we would’ve gotten soaked during unexpected rain. I’ve been to Versailles many times but had never learned as much history as I did from her. I also had never seen as much of the grounds including the queens Hamlet or Trianon. This guide includes headsets which was very helpful to hear the guide without having to be right next to them. I would definitely recommend.

Say again….? - We arrived 30 minutes early for our tour, as requested, but were told it would not begin until 15 minutes later than we’d scheduled. Other groups left before us, so it appeared that we’d been reassigned a later slot without notice of it. Our guide was a very nice person, but unfortunately her accent was so heavy and she spoke so quickly that most of us understood only about half of her presentation. That said, the day was miserably rainy so the tour of the gardens, Petite Trianon and Hamlet became uncomfortable (and treacherous on slick steps) at times. I suppose that if we hadn’t already arranged for the tour and paid for it in advance we might have simply cancelled going until another day. It’s a fascinating place—esp the water shows in the gardens—but we were disappointed by the guide’s difficulty keeping her speech in English well enunciated, more slowly spoken, directly into the microphone. No one can predict the weather, but it truly became so wet and windy by mid afternoon that we’d have been inclined to leave immediately if we weren’t at the furthest point away from the exit. A warning— actually there isn’t much in terms of cafe dining areas inside the Palace itself. I noticed a couple who had packed themselves nice croissant sandwiches & fruit, and found myself wishing we’d done the same. However, there aren’t many benches or tables available for enjoying lunch that way. We left as the Palace was closing completely soaked, chilled and anxious to head back to the hotel. We were glad we’d seen the Palace, but not pleased with the small- group guided tour we thought we’d have.
