Wonderful overview of Heimaey Island - We didn’t allot ourselves much time on the island and came across the Puffin and Volcano Tour soon after getting off of the ferry. We were told up front that the puffins had left early and we wouldn’t see any, but we decided it would still be worthwhile. And, wow, we were glad we decided that!! Every stop on the tour was awesome, especially since we could get off the bus at each ‘attraction’. Tour guide and driver Ebbi, a native of the island, was so knowledgeable and entertaining! He showed us the entire island. We highly recommend this tour!

Puffins tour in the Westman islands. - The tour was great. They have fast scooters with a seat added to the scooter. Their office is located right at the ferry so uts easy to find. We got tested on our scooter skills and then we were on our way to see puffins.. On the way back we stopped to learn about the volcano eruption in 1973. I would highly recommend taking this tour.

Fun scooter tour-See puffins and island history! - Whether you have a few hours or more, Eyascooter tour is a great way to see the island and puffins, definitely a highlight of our July 10-day trip. I’m not confident on electric vehicles, but our guide made everything feel easy and fun. We had a quick practice run in the parking lot, and once I felt like I got the hang of it, I loved feeling the wind on my face. Our guide was relaxed and gave us digestible chunks of island history along the way. Checking out Elephant Rock, Hraunkæling Eruption Memorial, elf stone legends, and Stórhöfði Puffin Lookout/Great Cape made us feel like a local if only for a minute. We went to Eldheimar volcano museum after the tour, pointed out as a must see during our trip, great suggestion! Thank you for helping us to create fun memories of Iceland!

Yes, Yes, YES! Don't miss this ... REALLY! - We signed up for this tour as a paid excursion on our Viking cruise. We are in our early 70s and neither of us had ever driven an E-Scooter. We wanted to see the Puffin colony and this seemed like a good alternative to another bus ride. After a quick safety lesson around a parking lot, the group took off and were quickly outside the town. The only way I can describe this tour is SPECTACULAR! If I could score it higher, I would. The views on the road are amazing and the Puffin colony exceeded all expectations. The guides are knowledgeable, compassionate and patient; they do their best to keep the group together; and, they provide excellent commentary at each stop. We especially enjoyed their talk about the volcanic eruption in 1973. This was far and away the best excursion we had in Iceland! This small, family business offers a truly unique, close-up look at the beauty of Vestmannaeyjar. A definite YES!

Puffins are amazing - This is a must! It was rainy and cold, but all was forgotten once we saw the puffins! I could have stayed all afternoon taking pictures! The guide was great!

Eyjascooter electric bike tours - This tour has other options, I did 2hr custom since I wanted to do more photography. Owner accommodated our group by adding a slot, made it fun day. Scooters great for older folks, tour is good for any adult.

A definite must do! - This tour is a MUST do when visiting Vestmannaeyjar! Ingibjorg and Hreidar are fabulous hosts. We loved hearing about the history of the island and their personal stories as locals. This island is breathtaking and the scooters were a fun and easy way to see it!

Profit ahead of Safety - My experience rating is a reflection on the business owner/lead guide, not the beautiful location or other staff. Inexperienced riders sign a waiver, given minimal instruction, and then directed to follow the lead guide out onto the street and to 'keep up'. Unfortunately the inevitable happened on my tour. A rider fell while on the wrong side of the road, and was narrowly missed by an oncoming vehicle. Only cuts and grazes but could have been much worse. Beware.

DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE ON A CRUISE! - Our cruise ship was unable to dock due to bad weather and high seas. The vendor refused to offer us a refund - $943 completely up in smoke. Thanks for nothing!
