Great Little Castle! - Our favorite castle on our trip! Looks quaint on the outside, but was surprisingly big inside. There was plenty to see and experience. Many different rooms. Took our family of four 90 mins to walk through. Definitely could have spent longer, but our son is not a fan of lingering and taking in all the details. We went in the morning at about 10am and there were no crowds. Definitely a must see!

Excellent castle and free with Swisspass - We have the swiss flexi pass and saw this was included. It was a great thing to do! This castle is extremely well maintained. You can walk through many levels. There are great signs that explain each room....and the castle is complete with a torture chamber. :) Scary though, but a really fascinating look at history. I thought we would do a quick walk through but we ended up spending a couple hours. Very worthwhile and you cannot find a more ideal setting!

Castle - Great castle to do if you’re near the area, in Montreux or near Lausanne. This was 1 of the cooler castles I’ve been to. Described the rooms you’re in and is on water.

Visit Chillon Castle - We really enjoyed visiting the castle. Beautiful setting, well maintained and combined a view on household/ fort life. Very interesting history. We spent 2 hour, and it was barely enough time to go through. We definitely recommend this site.

Chillon Castle - Very nice, nice visit with lots of history. A must-see in Switzerland. To do at least once. Be careful, the castle is large and has a lot of stairs.

Fabulous castle - Amazing castle ! Did not have enough time to see it all despite 4 hours set aside. The size of it is enormous and the history is amazing. Such a fabulous location as well. Highly recommended to not stop here when in the area.

Amazing history. - The history of the Chillon Castle is amazing. Be sure to get the audio for the best experience. Get the feel of how people lived in that era. The views from the castle are beautiful.. Walking through is on multiple levels and on different surfaces. Not handicap assessable but this 78 year old loved it!

Amazing Fortified Castle Built On A Rock - My wife and I took the long walk down the path of flowers along Lake Geneva to reach this amazing castle. It should take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how many times you stop to take photos. While the inside of the castle is simply bones, the history behind the castle as well as how well it has stayed the test of time is impressive. It is the perfect location to build a fortress with a natural moat. The inside of the castle takes you to various rooms with info in both French and English. My wife and I enjoyed learning all about this castle, especially the bit about the Prisoner of Chillon made famous by the poem by George Gordon Lord Byron. Do not miss this place if visiting Montreux! Take the boat ride and you can also see it from the water.
