Setting Sail on a Gray Day

As I embarked on the much-anticipated Victoria Whale and Wildlife Cruise, the sky was a canvas of ominous gray, with rain and wind painting a rather foreboding picture. Yet, as a seasoned traveler, I knew that the most enchanting experiences often begin with a touch of uncertainty. Armed with sweaters and rain ponchos, I made my way to Fisherman’s Wharf, eager to see what the day would hold.

The check-in process was seamless, a testament to the efficiency of the Eagle Wing Tours team. As we gathered for a safety briefing, I noticed an elderly woman in a wheelchair, and I was heartened by the crew’s attentiveness and care in ensuring her comfort. As the Humpbacks bid us farewell, we sailed past an island teeming with California and Golden Sea Lions.
