During the 3 hour Ultimate Marine Whale and Wildlife Tour, we will travel through the waters of the Salish Sea in search of various whales & other marine life. The Salish Sea includes the local waters around Southern Vancouver Island and is a rich marine environment that attracts multiple species of whales and other marine life!
Keep your camera ready, watching for orcas (killer whales), humpback whales, minke whales, gray whales, dolphins as well as both Dall’s porpoises and harbor porpoises. Harbour seals, Steller sea lions and California sea lions can be seen off Vancouver Island, and more than 127 species of marine birds can also be seen in the region.

A Whale of a good time! - We had a whale of an adventure. The crew seemed so disappointed to leave the whale area, as they knew the names of all the whales we saw!!! A Great morning with a wonderful crew. Pl;ease note its a somewhat rough boat ride getting there, but well worth it

A Must Do! - Gordon and Sam were incredible. Great team chemistry that added some sassy humor. LOVED the dedication by them to make sure we saw multiple whales. The teamwork with other agencies were appreciated so all travelers knew where some live action in the water was at all times. We were hoping for an orca sighting which is hard to predict, but they delivered and even took extra time to make sure we got enough great views and still took us to the rocks for the seals/sea lions. 10/10 for dedication!! Highly recommend this tour on the 12 passenger boat!

Beautiful - The Staff was amazing. The scenery on a hazy day from the boat was so stunning that it felt like an extra gift to see whales and sea lions.

We had a great time. - I booked the larger Catamaran boat two weeks in advance. The idea was that the larger boat would be more stable, as some in my family get motion sickness. Eight days before the our trip, Five Star called me to say that their Cat was not going to be available, due to needing repair.
They rebooked us on their other smaller boat. The day of the trip, was very windy. We had to wait to see if the Captain was going to call off the trip due to the wind/waves, but it went ahead. Because of the limited seating on board, we ended up sitting outside and some of our group, including myself, got soaked with sea spray due to the waves and wind. Aside from the spray, the boat handled the choppy waters well and no one got seasick.
We did end up getting a very close encounter with a pod of Orcas and had a fun trip. I was disapointed though, that we had to pay extra $$, because Five Star changed the vessel.

Definitely do it again - We had the most awesome experience, seeing a humpback whale scaring off the orcas repeatedly flapping its tail, quite the exhibition Meagan and Gordon are terrific hosts.
I would highly recommend this tour

Awesome experience - Completely life changing!!! The whales are so huge and so beautiful, one surfaced right next to our boat which was just the most surreal moment. The naturalist and driver are so skilled with the boat and so knowledgeable about the whales and their habits/lifestyle. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Mugged by a whale - We got to see a humpback whale up close and personal... Literally a foot from our boat, for a good 3 minutes! I think the term used was "mugged" LOL... Best excursion ever!

Great experience! - We had a great time and saw orcas, humpbacks and lots of seals and sea lions. The captain and naturalist were knowledgeable and a lot of fun.

Good tour from Victoria to do some whale watching. - Our guide and driver were very friendly throughout the tour and kept giving us good information about the marine life around Victoria. We saw about 4 whales in total - a family of orcas and a humpback. We were hoping to see more of these majestic creatures from a little bit closer, however, the boat had to keep its distance due to regulations. We did manage to see other mammals as well, primarily a big group of sea lions lazing on the island right outside of Victoria. Overall a decent tour to do in Victoria.
