Take your family, great fun tour! - Great tour, perfect amount of time for us to walk with our ten year old. Not too scary for kids, just the right blend of fun and spooky.

Eerily wonderful!! - The walk was SO very interesting historically!! The weather was perfect although some thunder and lightening would have cast an interesting eerie spell as it was close to Halloween when I went!!😂Chris was a great tour guide and I would recommend this walk and any other Walking Tours in Victoria!!

Always fun - I've been on a couple of these walks around my home city. I currently have a humorous friend who fits the role of tour guide to the stars. You'll visit places of historical interest, spooky or not. Your trip will depend on the skill of the narrator. Ask for Ira, his manner will beguile you.

Ghostly Walks, an October Tradition. - Discover the Past tours are an excellent, accurate and unembellished way to become acquainted with Victoria’s colourful history. As a local, born in Victoria I’m familiar with the history and ghost stories yet each October when I take the tours I’m treated to new unheard accounts of the underworld. The guides have a clear and compelling way to engage the walking groups with excellent storytelling techniques and they use headset microphones. Walking is easy around the various routes and downtown is fairly flat. Dress warm and don’t let the rain deter you as it’s classic Victoria weather, and this tour is not to be missed. Dress in layers, grab an umbrella from your hotel, and enjoy a late dinner or glass of Van Isle wine afterwards to debrief on the tales you heard during the night.

The ghosts came alive! - It was a lot of fun! Our guides told some great tales, and as a resident of Victoria myself, i learned some new things about my city. The tour was an hour long, so not too much walking or standing at any one time. There were a few stairs involved, but there was an option for a ramp if needed. As someone who works in the local tourism industry myself, I’ve had the chance to work with John and Chris Adams, our two local historians who started these tours. They do regular history tours as well, and are interesting and engaging to listen to as they weave Victoria’s history together. I was certain that the rest of their guides would be equally captivating, and was not disappointed. I would gladly go again, on another route, and plan to take in some of their regular tours next year as well.
