With turn of the century chateau-style architecture, the hotel is located on Government Street facing the Inner Harbour.\n\nOther stops along your tour include Chinatown and Craigdarroch Castle. Victoria is home to the oldest Chinatown in Canada and the second oldest in North America. Listen to your guide as he brings the history and culture of this neighborhood to life. Then make a quick stop at Craigdarroch Castle, a Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion established in 1890 as a residence for wealthy coal baron Robert Dunsmuir and his family.\n\nNext, enjoy a leisurely walk in the same gardens as the Queen on your visit to Government House, the home to Royalty during their visits. You’ll then venture through the neighborhoods of Oak Bay and finish your tour with a scenic journey on Marine Drive, past beautiful Beacon Hill Park.\n\nYour journey ends with a guided tour of Craigdarroch Castle. This Victoria-era Scottish Baronial mansion is one of Victoria’s oldest and most beloved landmarks. The tour will walk through the 25,000 square foot, 30 roomed historic stately home, and display the authentic lavish furnishings from the 1890s, and world-renowned stained-glass windows and intricate woodworkings.

This 3-hour tour will introduce you to the beautiful landscapes and scenery of Victoria, in addition to the downtown core near the city’s inner harbour. Explore the historical landmarks as you follow your local guide. Stops include the Royal BC Museum, Fairmont Empress Hotel, Chinatown, Victoria’s Heritage Mansions, and several shops, plus a guided tour of Craigdarroch Castle.
Admission inside the castle is NOT included in the tour pricing. This is an exterior tour only. Travelers wishing to tour the inside may purchase tickets on site. Visitors MAY possibly be required to walk two blocks from Fort Street to the castle due to local traffic closures in this residential neighbourhood.
*Currently, there is limited availability to tour inside the castle and this subject to change by the Castle Heritage Society.

Exceptional Highlight Tour of Victoria - Sean was an excellent guide. A local who not only provided an informative narrative of the city’s history and its major landmarks, but added in a few “hidden” gems.

Fabulous tour! - We were a parry of four adults. We thought this was the very best city tour we could have taken. Our guide, Michael, was wonderful. He's knowledgeable about the history of Victoria, as well as interesting cultural topics. We felt very comfortable talking about a wide variety of local topics with him as we toured much more of the city than we ever expected. We definitely recommend this tour!

Beautiful City - Richard was very knowledgable and took us throughout the city. We got a nice view of multiple parts of the city and learned about a lot of the history of the community.

Enriching visit at Victoria During our short Cruise stop - Our tour guide Mark was very knowledgeable about the history of Victoria and the places we visited. He was respectful of our return time to the cruise ship as well. Thank you!

The best tour experience and best "Oh Canada" song ever heard! - I would deeply recommend Mr. Keith and Kiki's Shuttle! Kiki gave us an awesome speech of the history of the city and was always punctual on time. Please don't forget to ask him to sing: "Oh Canada" in backwards, we shall be pleased to do it and included with his fee schedule. His presence and happiness is truly inspiring, Mr. Keith is so nice and told my family a lot about Victoria and Canadian culture that we did not handle before. A+ Service recommended! Tour was wonderful - Viator was not - Our tour guide Richard was very knowledgable and took us to some great photo stops. Viator sold us this tour saying that we could visit and TOUR the castle - the representative I was chatting with online, although helpful, sold me the tour irregardless of the castle being open or not. I had explained that my cruise company had cancelled my tour to the castle with NO explanation…when we arrived at the castle with Richard, we found out that the castle is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Viator customer service rep should have known this. The castle was the only thing personally I was interested in. Poor Show Viator. We also had to get a taxi from our cruise ship to an unknown hotel as the tour company was said to only pick up in town. But Richard even offered to drop us back at the dock without us even asking! All the negative here is on Viator, not the tour company that toured my party of 6. This was great value for money, compared to the cruise ship offerings and I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone. (If you are going to tour the castle, you have to pay and that is not included in the cost of the tour, but this was still $30 cheaper than my cruise ship offered with the added personal expense of paying for entry to the castle (we were a party of 6). Four adults and two awesome teenagers. So to recap - Richard was great, tour company was great Viator was NOT great.

Sadly disappointed - I planned the Ovation of the Seas Cruise trip for me and my husband, my brother & girlfriend and my aunt & uncle. The tour description lead me to believe we would get to see the gardens and tour the castle (the TWO things we wanted to do). Our driver drove past the castle and said it was closed (I couldn’t see it because it was on the opposite side of the van as I was sitting and then he said the gardens were too far to go. Said it would take 30 min to get there and 30 min to get back and we had to have 90 min to see it, so we didn’t go). Then he proceeded to drive us around the city for 2 1/2 hrs (which would have been enough time) with very little historical information and not much of any other info. Also people in the back seat couldn’t hear him (none of us could hear him well). Totally wasted our time in Victoria. So sad that we got NOTHING out of the tour except a boring ride around town. I have used Viator many times in the past and always had great experiences and never a complaint but this was a total bust ☹️
I would actually like my money back. He was a nice enough guy but it was not up to Viator’s usual excursion/tour experience.
