Better than the Rest, by a good Margin. - Very fun and educational staff, went in off season, Humpbacks had migrated away, and our expectations were pretty low, but we wanted to go out to sea anyway. Saw a ton of Orcas, Bald Eagles, Cormorants, Sea Lions, etc. also the ship was far more comfortable than the other companies boats, we could tell because we got to see them out on the water as well, and it looked kind of miserable.

An unforgettable experience - We were super well received and all the instructions were passed right at the pier, before the tour began. The super well-prepared and spacious boat, friendly staff and with extensive knowledge of the environment and wild marine life. After the end of the tour, where we could see two species of whales (Humpback and Orca) and three types of sea lions, we returned to the pier.
The team has professional photographers who capture images and then 10 photos are made available to tourists by email. Clint Willian makes amazing pictures.
The price is not high (I went in the low season - the best time to see whales is between May and October), and maybe that's why the price was more affordable (around CAD 145).
Because of the weather, the animals were kind of "bite", there is no summer sun and that large amount of whales that we would like to see.
Be prepared for the cold because it can bother you a lot.

We got such a warm welcome, and they gave us all the instructions right at the pier before the trip started. The boat was super well-equipped and spacious, and the crew was super friendly and really knowledgeable about the environment and marine wildlife.
During the trip, we got to see two types of whales (Humpback and Orca) and three kinds of sea lions. After that, we headed back to the pier.
The crew also has professional photographers who take amazing shots during the tour. They send you 10 edited photos by email after—it’s awesome. Clint Willian takes some incredible pics!
The price was not bad at all (I went during the low season—it’s cheaper, around CAD 145, and the best whale-watching season is May to October).
Because of the weather, the animals were kinda "chill," not as active as they'd be in the summer, and there weren't as many whales as we'd hoped to see.
Oh, and be ready for the cold—it can really get to you if you’re not dressed for it!

Beautiful day for a winter time tour. Will be back asap. - We went on a spectacular whale watching tour in December. The staff are all super engaged and eager to share their wealth of knowledge. Izzy, Tom, Captain Pete and Sarah were all fantastic and clearly are very passionate about the work they do.
We saw more wildlife than I anticipated especially being as it was in the winter months. The trip was well worth it and part of admission costs go towards an education program that they run for local kids.
Will definitely be back for another tour soon. Thanks again to all the awesome staff!

5 Stars - The crew is absolutely amazing, Tilly and Jo were especially great to learn from and talk to! My partner and I booked this for our first trip to Victoria and we were not disappointed. Thankfully we had a beautiful day but I’d bet even in less than ideal weather you’ll have a wonderful time thanks to the passionate crew. I’m so glad we went with eagle wing tours; their dedication to sustainability and protecting the environment is extremely important to support. Thank you for an experience we’ll never forget!!

Fantastic bird-watching tour! - Fantastic bird-watching tour with this company on November 10. The weather was cold but the rain held off. The crew went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and offered extra clothing if you needed to borrow something to keep warm!
We visited several islands in the Salish sea between Victoria and Sidney to the north. There was an amazing bird guide (Liam) from Rocky Point Bird Observatory who was co-leading the tour with the equally amazing staff (Tom and Tilly) from Eagle Wing tours. There was a second bird guide (sorry, forgot his name) who stayed with passengers that preferred to be at rear of the boat which was warmer and less bumpy. But along the channels between islands the ride was smoother anyway. The boat also had covered indoor seating with lots of windows.
The guides directed the safe and professional captain to take us to where the birds are! They knew of spots where specific species like to hang out. We saw hundreds of seabirds and learned to ID their winter plumage. We even saw a couple of rarities including a lone, very ‘tame’ Tufted puffin and a Leach’s storm petrol that glided along the boat for awesome views! We cruised along shorelines to see some cool land birds as well, including a Northern shrike.
The commentary was excellent, so educational! They also explained the history of the region and stopped so that we could watch humpback whales which was not the focus of the tour but definitely an added bonus on this particular day.
This tour was bird specific and the best part was that they made everyone feel welcome, whether you are a casual or beginner birder without fancy optics for viewing the birds, or an expert birder with a scope, or a photographer with a long zoom lens. This tour catered to all levels of birders!
Liam generously shared ebird lists with anyone who uses that app, and the Eagle Wing staff took some photos that will be posted for all to enjoy. Great for an amateur like me who doesn’t have a camera.
Birdwatching tours are apparently a new thing for this company, so glad I found out about this trip from their website. I would go birding again with them anytime!

An unforgettable experience with an amazing team - We had an amazing adventure with Eagle Wind Tours! One of the highlights of our trip in Alberta and BC.
Not only did we get to see 17 orcas, 3 humpback whales, many California sea lions, harbour seals and Steller sea lions, but we got to be lucky enough to hear the orcas and see them breach!! 🤩 It is an unforgettable moment!!
Thank you to Meaghan and Jo-Anne for their knowledge and kindness, to Peter for getting us there and around and to Tom for his photos and his knowledge on each orca individual. You guys make an incredible team!! Way to go!!

PLS BOOK A TOUR WITH THEM - I downloaded trip adviser just to do this review. Please if you are visiting the victoria area, make this a staple or highlight of your trip! It is worth every single penny and that is a phrase used often. Came from toronto to visit a friend and also in hopes to see my favourite animal, an orca. Really great area the tour is situated on. Derek, who was our guide was friendly and so knowledgeable. I enjoyed every single second even just the boat rushing out once it got out harbour. Saw orcas, humpback whales, sea lions and harbour seals and even a family of river otters while we came back in. Just incredible. Nothing would prepare me not just for the luck of seeing orcas but to see a young one under two years, the luck of seeing that. Derek is an incredible guide and i stayed close throughout the trip just to ask questions and learn. Really inspired by his work and what the eagle team offers. What a classroom he gave us in front of the wildlife. This is a must opportunity for anyone seeking whales in Victoria. This isn’t simply a “tourist” attraction, this is a classroom. Thank you for what you do!
