Organized and Courteous - Very organized! We checked in our bags early then we forgot our passports in our bags. The young man was patient and managed to find out checked bags so we could get our passports out.

Ideal way to travel to Victoria - Riding on the Clipper kicked off a great weekend visiting friends on Vancouver Island. The staff was friendly, the view spectacular, and the ride smooth. For anyone coming from Seattle, the Clipper is an affordable, stress-free way to get away for a long weekend. Highly recommend!

First timers to Canada and back - So there appears to be a problem with communication between the Ferry staff and Viator. When we arrived for our trip, the Ferry staff did not have us registered. We had to pay again in order to get on the boat. I’m not sure where the disconnect is, but I had my confirmation and ticket. Expecting a refund from somebody, once they figure out what happened. Otherwise, the trip was great. Comfortable seating and a Beautiful day to be on the water!

2 Day Victoria trip - Booking the 2 day trip from the U.K. was good, however once booked the website was pretty useless as it wouldn’t allow us to login and check status etc. Arrived at Terminal in Seattle at 7am and we had Comfort seat( 1st Class) and supposedly express check in, this was bizarre as the check in desk had one person whereas the normal queue had 3 people checking in and they went through far quicker than we did 🤷. We then after booking in experienced yet another delay as it wouldn’t allow us to board as the passes didn’t work and another 20 minute wait to board 🤷🤷, once on board the seats are really comfortable and plenty of room, quite a bit of food snacks and coffee was complimentary but other food to order they had run out of and this 40 minutes after leaving Seattle 🤷🤷. Overall not the best experience but it’s getting better with picturesque views and lovely sunshine. Hoping the return journey in few days is a better experience checking in.

Disappointing Service - This was our second experience taking the ferry from Victoria to Seattle and was totally different from the first time. The boarding process was chaotic. There were very long lines to check luggage and get boarding passes. Then we were all herded into a large room with not enough seats to wait for the ship to arrive (it was an hour late). We finally were allowed to wait outside standing in line where at least there was fresh air to breathe. Once we boarded there was again long lines to purchase lunch. The ride was smooth and the captain did make up some time. When we arrived in Seattle again we were in long lines waiting to get our luggage which was sitting out in a room for anyone to take (no one checking IDs). We were told they were short staffed BUT they need to space the schedule out so avoid these long waits.

Horrible Getting on and Off - Warning. Be prepared to spend an hour + disembarking in Seattle. A little better in Victoria. Getting on and off this ferry is a total s show. Also careful with bag size. On the trip to Victoria the crew said my bag was fine and I brought it onboard without any problem. On the trip back the crew deemed my bag too big and made me check it even though there were plenty of other passengers with the same size bag. Then I had to pay a CA$25 luggage fee. Then arriving they make you wait until everyone else is off before you can fetch your bags and go through customs. Getting on and off this boat is horrible. The boat ride quality was fine. Vista seats were comfortable but the boat is tired. Seat fabric is dirty, and carpets are well worn down. The ride quality itself was comfortable and the crew was great! Very professional, helpful, and nice. Concessions were adequate.
