Cultural Village tour - What an great experience, and our host was really good. Again our thanks that he and his family welcomed us into their village. Told us so much about the culture, tradition and way of life. So interesting and much fun was had stamping mielies into flour. If you want to more then I definitely recommend this tour. Also many thanks to Lewis, did an excellent job choosing the richt village and showing us around.

Awesome family experience! - Our tour guide stopped in a homestead in a nearby village. We were immediately welcomed and offered a seat. The head of the family led the informal tour and he was packed with knowledge to share. We learned about everyday life including water retrieval, cooking, washing, showering, schooling, cultural ceremonies, etc. We were invited in to each part and encouraged to take photos and ask questions. We were also invited to learn how to weave a basket and make corn meal. We learned so so much about the advantages and disadvantages of this way of life. One of the best things we have done in our 3 week trip to Africa.

Very cool to see - It was very cool to see how some of the African villagers live. We got some great photos and met a very nice woman. I would recommend this.

Worst Viator Ever - Worthless "Guide" - This was the worst Viator we have ever had. Description of the 20 min ride to and from village was only thing that was accurate. From pickup back to our room was 1 hour total, even though the touir description was that it was to last approximately 3 hours! We had a young woman show us some of the village. No details on their daily life, nothing about ceremonies, nothing about chiefdom's roll, never offered to visit school (weather was perfect). Not offered anything regarding meals or activitieds in village. Only "activity" displayed was making a single mud brick for a new hut being built. Our "guide" who drove us to/from village spoke limited english, couldn't answer any questions (even what we would be doing/seeing on the tour), didn't go with us through the tour, and was silent for most of the ride to/from the village, unless we attempted to ask a question (that was not answered). We were never offered even a bottle of water from the driver/guide. This had the potential to be a great tour, to learn about the local people and their lives. We looked forward to this tour especially as we sponsor a little boy from Zambia (similar culture).
