Must Visit - Ask for Wstson - We had a fun and fantastic 3-hour lunch. Our server, Watson, was very professional, polite, and friendly. Reasonable prices and very good selection of food and drinks. Make reservations to get an edge/cliff-side table

Breathtaking Views. - I visited the Lookout Cafe whilst staying in Pioneers Lodge, and the Victoria Falls. All I can say is Wow, what a view. A great menu and the food was delicious, I had the mussels in white wine sauce, served up with bruschetta, mouthwatering, followed with a knickerbocker glory. Totally recommend for both view and delicious food.

Amazing location and excellent service - Wow! Don’t miss this gem in Vic Falls. Food and drinks all very reasonably priced and we had an amazing fillet steak there. The service is of an exceptionally high quality. We visited 3 times and were served by Mordecai, Bongai and James, who were all perfect!

Stunning views, not so stunning food - Following a recommendation, we went for a lunch to the Lookout Cafe after visiting the Falls. The cafe is easily reachable from the Falls gate, even by walking, though of course, you have to pass through a gauntlet of very insistent souvenir vendors. The cafe looks very nice, the views are breathtaking. Food was not so. We did not expect cheap prices: Vic Falls are generally expensive and in such a touristy place as the Lookout they are reasonable enough. We wanted only a light lunch and ordered eggplant salad. I do not know why it was called that because there were maybe three small slices of eggplant, the rest was other vegetables and (mostly) couscous. We left all cheese as it was obviously old and tasted badly. There was no reaction from the waitress when she asked how was our lunch and we told about the cheese.

Great and very reasonably-priced drinks but perhaps the worst food I've ever had - There's an old maxim that goes along the lines of, you never go for a great meal at a restaurant that has amazing views, and bills itself on its views rather than its food.
Of course we were hoping that Lookout Cafe was an exception to this 'rule', but sadly not. Yes the views are amazing, and it's quite entertaining seeing both the bungee jumpers but also the zipliners getting stuck halfway, but the food was bordering on the inedible. I ordered a caesar salad but I had to send it back because the lettuce lives were incredibly bitter and full of grit/sand while my wife ordered a prosciutto ham sandwich which had such chewy meat that it almost jarred her teeth.
The only time you should really come here is just before sunset, for drinks, which are extremely reasonably priced and include some excellent local beers, accompanied by cheerful service

Food 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫❌ - The food at the Look Out Café was perhaps the only disappointing aspect of our trip. For a group of five, not a single person enjoyed the meal. We ordered butternut soup, which tasted more like ginger soup with just a hint of butternut. One of the soups was swapped for the beef strips starter, but it was inedible. The sticky ribs, touted as a favorite, were a letdown, tasting overwhelmingly of ginger and lacking any stickiness. Even the fries were underwhelming.
We ordered chicken strips for the kids, but what we received were chicken balls topped with caramelized onions, despite our request for no garnish since they were for children. The texture of the chicken was akin to corned meat and not enjoyable at all. To make matters worse, my glass had lip marks on it. When I mentioned this to our waiter, he said it was because the glass had been stored in the fridge—perhaps he meant a "lip fridge"?
The only redeeming quality was the stunning view, but since we dined at night, it was completely dark, leaving us with no positives to speak of. On the bright side, the chef did come over to discuss our complaints about the ginger, explaining that "ginger has health benefits." However, I would suggest they indicate on the menu that they use a significant amount of ginger in their dishes. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Unprofessional and Unreliable: Avoid Southern Dynasty Safaris - I booked this activity and received a confirmation email. However, no one showed up for the pickup on the day. When I contacted the tour company, they claimed not to have received my booking, despite me providing proof of emails. After requesting a full refund, they initially only partially refunded me. They eventually agreed to a full refund due to their mistake but still haven't followed through. It's now the end of August, and I only received a partial refund. I've been ignored in my attempts to resolve this issue.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid booking with Southern Dynasty Safaris. I suggest arranging a taxi to the Lookout yourself—it's more affordable, and you'll avoid the headache of dealing with their unprofessional and unreliable service.
