Fantastic evening with great views of the falls and really enjoyable atmosphere. - What a wonderful experience in a "yester year" yet fully revamped beautiful carriage drawn by a steam engine. The views of the falls, together with a 5 course dinner, served by excellent staff and managed by a great manager, and host - Thulani.

Steam train - Was an amazing night, the food was wonderful and the staff were fun and very professional. A must do trip not to be missed.

Great evening - Wonderful experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the views were amazing, the dinner was delicious. Our guide on the train was very informative and he made it a very interesting and enjoyable evening.

Lovely sunset dinner on the train - We started out with drinks in the bar car. There was also a guitarist entertaining. Drinks were very good and plentiful. Appetizers were also served. About sunset we were on the bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe looking at beautiful Victoria Falls. Amazing!! Dinner then followed in the dining car. Dinner was very good. Wine was served with dinner. The train itself is lovely in the Old Grand style of trains. A very enjoyable experience!!

Steam train - This was a cool experience. The steam train is beautiful! You’re able to go out on the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia to view the falls and take picture. The dinner was incredible. I would make sure to spray with big spray before starting out on the train!

What A Great Ending to our Victoria Falls experience - On a trip with many unique highlights and fantastic experiences this was one of the really special ones. Riding on an elegant train with a fantastic dining car and a plush lounge car powered by an old steam engine that crosses the Victoria Falls bridge at sunset is difficult to surpass. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the train station by van. We were greeted on the red carpet with cocktails. Then we were escorted to the sitting car which was restored and included comfortable couches. We were greeted by the staff and encouraged to have all of the wine and cocktails we wanted. A fantastic musical duo provided accompaniment throughout the evening. We then took the short trip to the Victoria Falls Bridge, crossed into Zambia and then proceeded to the hydro electric plant upstream from the main falls, where we were treated to a short discussion on the history of the plant. We then returned to the bridge and were given 45 minutes to explore this architectural wonder as well as the steam engine. We were even able to climb up on the engine and see how it operated. We then returned to the dining car for a scrumptious dinner featuring a salad, lamb shoulder and mashed potatoes, and a chocolate mousse dessert. We ended the evening in the lounge car with music, drinks and coffee. What an unbelievable fun, educational, and satisfying experience. The crew showed what true African hospitality entails.

DISASTER AND WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR A NO SHOW - The tour operator (Tamuka Travel) was a no show the evening of the train dinner. We did not go and lost the money and i insist a payback for this. I want to send a decent e-mail to you but there is no e-mail available to send. Please forward an e-mail to [email protected]. za so that i can contact you personally. This tour operator should not be used. I have a safari business myself and have talked to many of the operators in Victoria Falls including Mr Marwolf who owns Tamuka and did not show to pick us up at the airport as well or to take us there again. Only afterwards did the tour operators tell us that the train from the Victoria Falls side has not run since COVID. I have another suggestion for you for more reliable tour operators.

Victoria Falls Steam Train Dinner is a scam, they stole my money! - This is a scam! Do not pay for this up front, you will loose your money. We ordered 2 tickets for September 9th 2022, and were promised a pick up at N1 Hotel in Victoria Falls. They did not shop up. The hotel had not heard about the firm. Another local tourist firm told us that the Victoria Falls Steam Train Dinner had not operated since the outbreak of covid. It is impossible to contact them, and they do not respond to my claim for my money back (535 USD). Booking ref BR-915275894. I have asked my bank to deny them further service from Mastercard, blocking them for stealing more money. Avoid this scam!

We got Screwed! - DO NOT USE THIS AGENT. Not sure best way to book this tour but we were so excited and the owner Brighton did not contact us at our hotel and when we tracked him down with the help of the front desk he lied and told several versions of a story but in the end we had no booking and there was no room. My guess is that the train sold old to a big tour group and dumped us. BUT that does not excuse Brighton from waiting till 4PM that day to tell us we had no booking.

Waiting for my refund. - The trip was cancelled due to not enough people. The Tour operator came to chat to us at the hotel, which was kind and professional, however we were very disappointed. Viator have yet to respond to my 3 emails I have sent asking for a refund.
