Our goal is to summit the tallest peak in Vidigal, known as the elder of the two brothers. Our trek begins on foot, navigating the intricate pathways of the Vidigal favela, which presents an intense cultural exposure. Favelas, akin to ghettos or slums, provide unique experiences where we will get insights into the daily lives of locals, explore bars, parks, and sample authentic Brazilian street food. This gives a glimpse of an unexplored Brazil hidden from most tourists. On reaching the trailhead, expect 50 minutes of hiking amidst nature, with several vantage points offering splendid views of the city, sea, beaches, and forests, along with a unique cabin with a view of Rocinha (the largest favela in Latin America). The pinnacle offers a breathtaking, film-worthy vista. The return journey is a thrilling motorcycle ride speeding through the narrow alleys.
