A long day but worth doing - This was an amazing day. Martin was an excellent tour guide who stayed with us most of the day as per the group request . He was friendly and very accommodating of call our requests. It is a long day but so worth doing!

Brataslava and Budapest in a day - We miss some stops mostly because of other guests: 1 group gave the wrong hotel pickup and another group had their own plans in Hungary where they went off to find a Starbucks mug. They were supposed to meet up with the group in 90 minutes and didn't respond to calls or texts from our guide. Eventually our guide picked them up in the tour bus. These delays were not the the fault of our guide but made a long day even longer. This is a jam pack itinerary so and if you want a slow, more in depth visit I'll recommend doing separate tours to each to each location but not both in a day. Roman our guide was great -- and took us to a lovely dinner spot in Brataslava for a yummy yummy meal. We did have the bonus opportunity of visiting 2 christmas markets at each site. I would recommend this tour to others who would like a slice of Budapest and Brataslava.

A Tour Guide Extraordinaire - NOTA BIEN: What I am about to say is a prelogue and not a review of our EXCELLENT experience with Daniel N, our guide for the Bratislava/Budapest tour. I forgot to say what I am about to say in a previous tour review so here now I want to inform Viator to please vet their operators better. You see in one of our tours in Vienna, Viator sent us a van for 8 people for a 4-hour transfer. However, the seat next to the driver had NO leg room to speak of so much so that my 25 yo niece who was seated there was almost in tears and wanted to take an Uber instead. I ended up sitting next to the driver (again it was not Daniel, but another driver doing a transfer run. And I repeat I just want Viator to mind their operators better okay?) It was a most uncomfortable ride lasting four hours. So speak up and make sure that ample leg room exist in your transportation especially if you have a long ride with but a few stops from point A to point B. Now to the point of this review... our experience was as I mentioned EXCELLENT with our guide Daniel N. He did not make us feel rushed. He took the time to make us feel that "our vacation, our decisions". However, he does make recommendations and we go for them like moth to flame. He took us to a restaurant where a tourist without a proper guide would not find in a million years. The food there was authentic Hungarian and the price was less than what we feel it should be so we tip our waiter way above the customary 10 percent. Daniel also showed us which ATM in Bratislava did not charge high fees. And he took us to routes where we won't be stuck in traffic for hours. Born and raised in Slovakia, this 24 yo kid is wise and responsible beyond his years; He has an MBA and now studying for yet another MBA (if memory served me right). His advice which you might as well heed is: It is better to see Budapest first before going to Bratislava to avoid rush hour traffic in Budapest. Advice well taken. Actually, our group of 8 were happy as clams with whatever he suggested. We even bought "Tantratea" which is one of the strongest if not the strongest drink in the world. We bought bottles because Daniel said this is a fun drink for the braveheart. We had a memorable experience in both Budapest and Bratislava. We could not have ask for more as Daniel was our tour guide extraordinaire. He would be for you too!!!

Wonderful tour of Bratislava and Budapest - Michal, the guide, was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. He was on time for pick up. He gave descriptions and historical information on the sites we visited. He answered our questions to the best of his knowledge. He took us to a restaurant in Bratislava serving local cuisine. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food. He went out of his way to walk us (3 people in the group) to the dock where we boarded a one hour Danube River cruise in Budapest. He also picked us up from the dock and walked us to the Christmas Market. He gladly took pictures upon request. I would sign up for future tours with Michal if ever I'm in Vienna again.

We did not do some of the... - We did not do some of the thing on the description, mainly in Budapest. Our Tour guide Michael was awesome. He drove a lot and helped us have an amazing lunch. We had some trouble with other guests who had plans of their own and dampened the tour experience. I'd recommend either doing a day tour to Bratislava or Budapest but not both in a day. Tour guide was great tour itself was to long

A Memorable Tour with Michael - We had Michael as our driver and tour guide through Bratislava and Budapest. He was very informative and always took photos of us when we requested. We would definitely recommend Michael and this tour as he made sure we had a great time.

One of our most memorable tours - We were fortunate to find this tour while visiting Vienna. It was a fantastic way to get a taste of Slovakia AND Hungary in one day. We were able to see so much and really experience both cities with our terrific guide’s expertise. Michael H. was first class. He was attentive, well prepared and knowledgeable. He was equipped with local favorite snacks from Bratislava, water, umbrellas and even a power bank. He arranged lunch for our small group tour of 6, at the cutest local favorite restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of traditional Slovakian food. We stoped at 2 castles, 2 monuments and old town in Bratislava. In Budapest, Michael guided us through all the big sights with many important historical spots and breathtaking views. We had a couple of hours of free time as well in each city. We traveled in a comfortable van. It is a long day, but worth every minute.

Disappointing experience - This was more a bus ride than actual tour. On a tour I would have liked to hear more history of the places we visited. Also I was not comfortable that the driver was often texting as driving. If did not make me feel safe.
