Review of music at the ast Stefan’s cathedral - Beautiful music played by great musicians in a magnificent setting. The violin soloist was superb. The Bach violin concerto in E major was played in period style.

Great on cool summer days - Music great, venue also great, however if it is hot outside skip it. There is so many people crammed into the church that when it is 90 outside it feels like 85 inside and makes it hard to enjoy the music

Enjoyment depends on the style and skill of the organist - St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a spectacular venue for an organ concert and I would highly recommend the activity because of that. However the evening we went, the visiting organist chose to play pieces of music that many in the audience didn’t enjoy (including us) and there was a constant flow of people leaving early which was rather distracting.

It has no sense the Cat3 - It has no sense that you pay to have the scene in the back but your seat is set to see the front. And you have to wait for the end to get your turn of sounds amplifications.

Beautiful venue, awful experience. Avoid at all costsmusi - We arrived at the venue with high hopes as it is absolutely beautiful. However the staff were incredibly rude and patronising on arrival, we got the impression they didn’t want to bother with us because we were English. When we finally found our seats we were disappointed to find that the second tier price we paid took us to seats right next to the third tier price. We couldn’t see anything and were cramped. Also one of our seats was covered in something red and sticky, when we asked staff for it to be cleaned it took a long time for someone to be willing to help. The concert itself, whilst to a high standard, was a niche and off putting programme of solely medieval music (and I say this as a professional musician myself) which meant it was not varied and became tiresome after a short time. We would never do this again as it is clearly a tourist trap.

Disappointing concert - The 4 selections were very unpleasant, the sound was mushy, and it was very hot. There is always a different performer and program so other night could be great.

I DON'T RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. - I don't recommend it at all. It is not what the photos or description show, they offer a concert with several musicians and there is only one man playing the organ. Deceptive advertising, we paid 80 euros and then there were people who entered for free. Don't go to this.
