An important trip to a dark place - This is an important but somber experience. The bus guides were on time, friendly and informative The tour guide met us at the camp and showed us the important aspects including the barracks, hospital, gas chamber and crematorium. NOT something to forget.

A visit rich in history - The whole site is completely free including parking When you arrive at the information point, free wifi allows you to download the app so that you have the audio guide on your phone in the language of your choice (don’t forget your headphones). The visit is rich in information and testimonies. Allow 2 hours for the tour. There are several very interesting exhibitions Attention the site closes from 5pm, but the outside remains accessible. We really recommend this tour! The quality of the visit is impressive!

Devastatingly Magnificent - This is a completely devastating piece of history that everyone should remember as to not have it happen again. The grounds ate well preserved, the guide was knowledgeable and had a rich understanding of the history. I was there for three hours but could have spent at least another hour wandering and seeing all of it, although we probably saw 75% of the grounds. The bus was nice, comfortable, and good A/C. Lunch location had a good selection and a nice salad bar option.

The most impactful experience - This was the most impactful experience I had during my entire visit to Vienna. Beyond important for everyone to learn about, and see these horrible reminders of history - especially imperative today due to divisiveness we are seeing all over the world. I was really moved to share the encounter with others on the tour from different continents and backgrounds, and who were committed to gaining understanding about concentration camps and what took place. Viatour provided a seamless tour from start to finish. The bus guide Josef was pleasant and knowledgeable, and our Mauthausen guide was fantastic - incredibly personable, providing a comprehensive education about the history of the camp, and atrocities that occurred.

Worthwhile tour - The trip starts with a comfortable bus ride to the camp. During the 2 hour drive the guide provided information on the history and current affairs of the areas we drove by. It was very informative and gave plenty of time to be able to explore the places visited.

Unforgettable - Unforgettable experience. Very professionally done. We rode for about two hours in a Mercedes sprinter van w iPads on the seat backs so you can watch a documentary on Malthausen. Our guide Robert was great. He shared much about Austria and the camp specifically on the ride. When you get there he will get you set up with their audio tour. The food in the bistro at the site is awful. I recommend you wait to eat lunch on the way back.

Terrible tour operator - I do not recommend this tour operator. Money grabbing company. Do this tour on yourself and save money and have a better experience.
