moved to tears in mozarthaus - i cried through the entire performance. we are from a very provincial part of canada. this evening was truly an experience of a lifetime. the intimacy of the setting and the elegance and history of its environs were both powerful and breath taking. the performance was more than magical. the curation of the programme was perfect. the violinist, pianist and cellist were nothing short of virtuosic in their presence and execution. superb. if you see nothing else when you visit vienna, this will fill your soul, open your heart, blow your mind, empty your tear ducts, and change your life. bravo.

Tour of the haus - Excellent tour and museum. Enough information on the apartment, Mozart’s life and of course, music. Excellent value for money

Could be better - Happened to pass by here and decided to pop in and give it a go. It was pretty cool seeing a lot of people of the time and some artefacts. But felt like there could be more info about Mozart himself and things which belonged to him. Had a lot of problems with the audio guide too - struggled to get on the wifi and when we did, the information kept cutting out

Worth visiting - Very satisfying to stand and wander in the same vicinity as Mozart as he lived here. Some interesting facts discovered on.audio guide. Good value for money. A bit more reproduction of rooms and furniture would be good.

Interesting without more and expensive - Tour with audio guide downloaded to own phone. Nothing special. Dear in the end. Good revision of Mozart’s life and classical music before going to the opera

Speculative and a bit boring -but nice staff and a cracking audioguide. - GillH from Newcastle nailed it in her review! Positives=great audioguide, pleasant staff. Overall -just a bit self indulgent, tedious and speculative. I get the mystique surrounding the man stuff, but really! Surely we can do better than this if he lived in the house for 3 years.

Difficult to access information - As a classical music fan and lover of Mozart, I was quite excited to visit this museum, in a house where Mozart once lived. I was disappointed with the museum. Entry is rather expensive for the quality of the museum. The museum had very little in the way of artifacts. Its rooms are largely empty, save for some exhibits on the wall. It is VERY reliant on the audio guide, accessed by cell, and the audio segments are long and highly academic. As a person who prefers to read v. listen, this made the museum even more difficult to access. I am closer to the life and works if Mozart than I assume a typical visitor would be. For those looking for an introduction to Mozart's life and works or to get a greater appreciation for his significance, I think you will be disappointed; much of the museum's narrative is dependent on prior knowledge of Mozart. Disappointing.

Disappointing trip to learn about Mozart - Really disappointing exhibition. Hardly any objects in rooms. What they did have was replicas. Really could have been so much better. We got through this in 40 mins even thought they said we needed 1 hr 20.

A scam - Taking advantage of Mozart's fame, they have created a museum in the building where he lived his last years in Vienna. The house does not even retain the original structure and is completely empty. There is practically nothing to see and if you do not take audio guide (not included in the Vienna pass), the visit seems useless. Given the fame of the composer, it is another of those places full of tourists, so I recommend avoiding it at all costs, except for those who are very Ottoman.

Nothing to see - Nothing interesting and nothing to see, not worth it. Inside the house there is almost nothing that represents the composer.
