Wonderful - I found the music of Mozart, when I was a small child and have always loved his music: so amazing to visit the place he lived and worked, in Vienna! I travel to Vienna, often, from England, and this is a place of wonder; experiencing the place where the magic happened; it may not have the “wow” factor for some tourists, but if you love and respect the genius it’s a must do! I went the day after seeing “Don Giovanni” performed at the state opera house and found it a great and immersive experience. I didn’t take photos etc, I wanted to just “feel it!” I particularly enjoyed seeing the clever display, on tv screens, of so many productions (director’s concepts) of the same scenes being performed by different opera singers, in various settings/costumes etc;loads of personal letters, stories etc too. Lovely team, friendly and helpful: will revisit, when next in town 👌

Mozart’s fascinating space - Loved everything, the informative background of the life and times of Mozart, through to seeing original manuscripts and clips of Met and other performances. Imaginative and fascinating. I feel I know so much more about Mozart the person and his lifestyle to add to the enjoyment of his everlasting music

Mozart’s swankiest flat and a great celebration of music and his life and times. - There are some really odd reviews here, and I wasn’t sure if this was going to be good or not great. I loved it, I thought that the audio guide MAKES this museum. Take your time with it and listen to all of it. Sure, the rooms are empty of furniture but I’d rather that and use my imagination than have a faux Mozart experience, just to be in that place where Figaro was written and to think and spend time with that genius was enough for me. I also liked seeing his front door and the view out of his window as well. The tour IS well structured, giving a good setting of Vienna, the music scene, the political landscape and eras I said earlier if you read the info and listen to the audio tour (which is included) then it really gives back the time invested. I can see that opinions are mixed but for me it was a really fun, and sometimes moving experience. I especially liked their instillation on The Marriage of Figaro, a unique idea that I watched all the way through. Loved it.

Worth visiting - Very satisfying to stand and wander in the same vicinity as Mozart as he lived here. Some interesting facts discovered on.audio guide. Good value for money. A bit more reproduction of rooms and furniture would be good.

Speculative and a bit boring -but nice staff and a cracking audioguide. - GillH from Newcastle nailed it in her review! Positives=great audioguide, pleasant staff. Overall -just a bit self indulgent, tedious and speculative. I get the mystique surrounding the man stuff, but really! Surely we can do better than this if he lived in the house for 3 years.

Nothing special - This is the house where Mozart lived. There are many historical facts and artifacts, but unless you're really interested in everything that's Mozart, you can skip this attraction

Meh... - Interesting enough account of life and times of Mozart via audio description, but... In absence of concrete artefacts, all felt a little lacking, somehow. Really need to update some of the visual displays, especially the "projection" of images of singers from "The Magic Flute" - could do better in this digital age, no?

Disappointing trip to learn about Mozart - Really disappointing exhibition. Hardly any objects in rooms. What they did have was replicas. Really could have been so much better. We got through this in 40 mins even thought they said we needed 1 hr 20.

Nothing to see - Nothing interesting and nothing to see, not worth it. Inside the house there is almost nothing that represents the composer.

It would take more than a magic flute to turn this place into somewhere we would return to. - Boring as watching Figaro brush his teeth. Unless of course you enjoy wandering round an empty apartment guessing what might have been there in the 3 years Mozart lived there and surveying a range of photocopied sheet music and photos of unknown Austrians of old. Oh and the staff are grumpy and unhelpful so nothing good to be said about that either.
