A good nash - Michael our guide was eclectic and very knowledgeable. A good tour of part of the huge market and a taste of a few good foods and spices.

Nice and interesting tour - Peter Nowak is an excellent guide. Although I´ve been at "Naschmarkt" very often, he gave us new information and useful tipps. Very interesting and lovely trip.

Underwhelmed - While our host, Peter, was great, nice, informative, and helpful, the tour itself was not what we expected. We were hoping to learn more about Viennese food and culture. Instead the tour was largely focused on middle eastern cuisine. Additionally, we didn’t really eat that much food leaving us all hungry for lunch post the tour. Also, we had a drink and didn’t realize it wasn’t part of the tour expense; which was an additional 5,50 euros.

Tour was cancelled without communication or apology - If first impression counts, this tour agency is an absolute no-go! I booked the Naschmarkt food tour in English and received a confirmation, but the next day I couldn't find anyone at the meeting point (which, by the way, is a closed metro station under construction, which in my opinion should also be communicated to the guests). I called to the agency where the person attending the phone had to search my booking and told me then 'ah, but you speak German, so there is a German food tour at 2pm'. I saw that on their website but booked the English one in the morning because I'm travelling with a baby that had its own rhythm and it would have been better to go on a walk in the morning... Anyway, I accepted to join the afternoon tour (otherwise they would have given a refund), which was a bit stressful with a tired baby, but the guide and the other guests have been really understanding, nice and helpful so that it was worth coming back in the afternoon. I enjoyed the tour which was really interesting. Erika is a great food expert and also told us a lot about the history of the market. But she and her husband are running their own agency which is offering this food tours exclusively - so if you want to avoid trouble with cancelled tours and even safe 10 euros you should book directly with them!

Is overrated because today not as cozy as 10 years ago - narrow, noisy, intrusive, few shops are really good and interesting. Sellers are a little too aggressive in their sales efforts. One then also has the impression that one can easily be over-advantaged with the agility presented. A corner smells only of fish...it's not supposed to smell... the streets are just too narrow to move well...

Food explainer, not food eating tour - I do not recommend this tour at all. I’ve been on food tours all over the world; they have been amazing experiences and ways to learn about where I am visiting through their food culture. This tour did not meet the fundamental goal of showcasing Viennese food or culture; rather, the tastings were of Middle Eastern and Italian dishes. There are hardly three stops, and at the end, I was looking for a place I could have lunch. The tour is not about eating food; rather, the guide spent the majority of the tour pointing to basic fruits and vegetables. Overall, this was massively disappointing.
