15 out of 10 Stars: AMAZING Experience - This was the highlight of our time in Austria. Ivan was our driver and all knowing guide. He was so kind and attentive to our questions and needs. He picked us up at our hotel and off we went to Melk to see the amazing church that was made from gold. Ivan got us there before the rush of “bus tourists” arrived and we ended up being the only ones in the church—which was amazing. We then headed to Hallstatt, which was beautiful and breath-taking. Ivan dropped us off near the funicular and told us where to purchase tickets for this neat experience. The funicular and skywalk was worth it. The day we went, it was clear and you could see everything—gorgeous. We took many family pictures and they were wonderful. Our final stop was in Salzburg and Ivan walked us into the gardens where they filmed parts of “The Sound of Music”. We got time to walk around Salzburg and explore and eat dinner. After the full day, we drove back to Vienna, which was about a 3 hour drive from Salzburg. This was 100% worth hiring a private driver to take us around. We didn’t have to worry about parking or what to do, as Ivan took care of everything. He was able to pull us up to the front of everything and if he couldn’t come with us, he gave us wonderful instructors on what to do and when. Ivan was an absolute joy—he was so full of information and every made stops by beautiful landscapes to make sure we got plenty of family pictures. Ivan really made this trip. He had water at the ready whenever we got back into van and the AC cranked. He talked about the places we went and gave us the history. He was entertaining in the van when we wanted to chat and then allows us to take naps when the driving scenery was boring (according to him!). Overall, Ivan really make this a special experience for us and we would 100% do this again—especially with Ivan. We actually booked a second day trip with Ivan and his company and he took us to Budapest. This was also a great experience. Once we booked with him for the Salzburg, Hallstatt, Melk trip, Ivan reached out to confirm and let me know there were other trips that his company did. Again, I’m so glad that we went to Budapest. Ivan’s company hired us a private tour guide to walk us around the city and see the highlights. It was the BEST two days of our trips and it was 100% because of Ivan. He was so kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We will be back to Vienna and will definitely book another private tour with Ivan. He was absolutely wonderful and made our trips so special.

The itinerary, the order... - The itinerary, the order of locations, and the variety the three locations provides make for a perfect day. Very well designed. Our driver provided highly useful information before visiting each of the locations and had the right timing breakdown between the stops (which is not obvious from inspection). Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely... - We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Darko our driver and tour guide on our recent trip! He drove us to the beautiful lakes of Hallstatt and other stunning lakes, as well as to the charming city of Salzburg. His knowledge of the area was impressive, and he ensured we saw the most scenic and picturesque spots. Not only did he drive us safely and comfortably, but he also took the time to capture amazing photos of our group, making sure we had lasting memories of the trip. His friendly demeanor and insightful commentary made the tour even more enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend his services for anyone looking to explore these beautiful areas!

Great day trip!!! - It was a very nice day trip with Mr. D who came on time to our hotel to pick us up and greeted us with a friendly big smile. Although the weather was not the best that day but reasonable, and the trip went very smoothly. Mr. D was very considerate with time and the crowd that he tried his best for us to enjoy each site with less people and enough time. It was a very tight schedule due to visiting 3 major tourist towns in a day, but we managed to enjoy enough in each town even with the limited time frame. I think Mr. D gave us little extra time at Salzburg :) Mr. D's driving skill was very good that we all feel so comfortable as well. I suggest to spend more time at Hallstatt if you like scenery. This is such a beautiful town. This day trip is the must if you have less time but want to see all those 3 beautiful towns and I highly recommend Mr. D as your travel guide and a driver. Thank you Mr. D for the wonderful trip!

Memories to cherish - An amazing tour with gorgeous sightseeings. Breathtaking lakes beautifully bedded in the middle of high mountains, grasslands and forest. Special shout-out to our driver Darko who kept us entertained during long drives through the destinations and shared valuable key information needed for such a dense tour. I felt totally safe with his driving; very caring and patient with our kids. I would definitely return to Salzburg for couple more days; beautiful city deserving thorough exploring.

Excellent Trip experience with Darko - our tour guide - The trip experience was really excellent specially because of our trip guide Darko. It is because of him we enjoyed the trip more. His hospitality, knowledge and experience was definitely praise worthy. We booked the trip before reaching Vienna. We on our way to hotel took another van and went around Vienna in that and was offered lower price than the price we booked for the trip next day to Melk, Hallstat and Salzburg. But we took the trip that we booked earlier with higher price only with a thought that we will get proper guidance of our trip and Darko didn't deserted us. We found more worthy to have a person like Darko in our trip rather than the price.

Excellent Experience - Very good driver (Ivan), excellent time control, excellent experience of the three places we visited. Highly recommend tour.

Beautiful Trip To The Mountains, Lakes, and Smaller Towns of Austria - My mom and I loved our trip with Davor. "D" was very knowledgable, personable, and friendly. The itinerary was well thought out, and D gave us many helpful tips and frequently pointed out sights along the way. The trip added so much depth to our visit to Austria, which we would not have had staying in Vienna the whole time. Hallstatt was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at the mountains, lake, and town there. We rode the cable car to a skywalk viewpoint and ate at a comfortable restaurant at the top. We hiked back down the mountain, which was a very memorable experience. In Salzburg, we saw the sights from the Sound of Music and wandered through the small, interwoven streets, visiting shops and the cathedral. The abbey in Melk was beautiful and a wonderful start to our day. Thank you D for taking us on this adventure!

Great day trip from... - Great day trip from Vienna to get a sense of the Austrian countryside and of course beautiful Salzburg. Easy pickup at hotel. Safe, courteous driver provided a little information about each stop - and then allowed plenty of time to explore.

Great too but makes for a pretty long day.. - We enjoyed this tour but it is too much to do in one day. Milk, and Hallstatt stops were wonderful but traveling on to Salzburg was too much given buy the time you spent just a few hours their it was along drive back to Vienna arriving late in the night. So my recommendation is to do Salzburg overnight.
