Gmunden is the main city for salt merchants. It’s a traditional old Austrian city with timber houses. We’ll see narrow streets, an ancient church, a beautiful riverbank and a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains together.

Grünbergseilbahn Gmunden - Cable car, Gmunden, 1h 30 min.
We’ll go to the top of the highest mountain near Gmunden. On the top we’ll stop in a small traditional Hütte (hunting lodge) for snacks or lunch.

Baumwipfelpfad Salzkammergut - Treetop Walk, Gmunden, 1h 30 min.
On the new treetop walk you will experience unique perspectives high above the forest floor with breathtaking panoramic views of the lake Traunsee and Gmunden Traunsee und Gmunden. Hallstatt - Gmunden to Hallstatt, 1 hour.
During our road to Hallstatt, we’ll speak about salt meaning in Salzkammergut and about the Austrian royal dynasty - Habsburg-Lorraine. They were the owner of all this land.

Hallstatt - Hallstatt, 2 hours.
Halstatt is a charming village on the lake. It’s an unbelievable place that looks like an open-air museum, but still, people are living in this village.

Vienna - Hallstatt - Vienna, 3h 30 min.
Drop off at your hotel. On our road back to Vienna, we’ll stop once on the highway for visiting the restroom and coffee and snacks.
