Beautiful views, culture and Sound of Music sights - Great trip, with a couple of quick photo stops of beautiful scenery along the way! Salazburg is beautiful, the Mirabell gardens where scenes from Sound of Music were beautiful, and Robert gave a highly detailed explanation of everything on the tour. Wear comfy shoes as the walking tour is about an hour and 45 mins and if it’s sunny bring your sun screen! You then have 2hrs 15 to explore yourself, and do as you please. Robert’s recommendations helped me devise an itinerary of what I wanted to do as we walked around, in my free time I went to the food market and enjoyed sitting in the sun by the river, went to Mozart’s birth place, strolled around the gardens again and visited the wine bar next to them. Another traveller said they went up to the art museum where you can get great views of Salzburg which also looked awesome.
The iPads in the back of the mini bus were a great touch to watch Sound of Music on the way back, the drive flew by!

As advertised - This really is a nice and private tour. I was a bit concerned about reviews with lack of guide but we had no issues. Robert was knowledgeable, our group had total 6 people with 3 solo and our family of 3. Enjoyed the guide and information. It is a long drive back but that’s the case with geography (other choice is to spend a day in Salzburg)

Highly recommend Salzburg small group tri - Salzburg is a beautiful city and fabulous scenery en route. Small group tour with very knowledgeable guide. Comfortable journey with scenic stopping points for photos and comfort break stops included. And after a guided tour we had free time to explore ourselves and have drinks/food. We loved our day out and would very highly recommend this trip. Easy to book and communicate throughout with the company.

We had an amazing day!... - We had an amazing day! Highly recommend this day trip. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the van even came equipped with ipads for each person to watch the Sound of Music on

Great Day and Comfortable Ride! - We had a fantastic guide for the day (Roy/Michael) and an extremely comfortable ride there and back.
We stopped at a great spot along the way for a quick morning bite/coffee and break before our stops along the lake region. The weather wasn't spectacular for one of the views along the way, but we made the best of it... you can't always predict mother nature. In Salzburg, we had a great waking tour that wasn't rushed, and our guide made it very known that if you wanted to go off and do your own thing there were no hard feelings. After the walking tour, we had time for a late lunch at a great restaurant recommended by the guide along the way and then a little shopping. We picked up some amazing gouda cheese at one of the stands we passed on the walking tour.
Lots of Sound of Music references along the way in the lake region and Salzburg.
It was a great day, and we definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed the lake... - We enjoyed the lake region - beautiful. Salzburg was very interesting and lovely. Robert our guide was very knowledgeable. The trip was just too long for us - nothing to be done, but the three hour drive back was difficult.

Nice tour - Joseph was nice and informative. Bus ride was long but we had some great stops for pictures. Salzberg was pretty and easy to walk around.
