Absolutely stunning day with incredible guide - WOW WOW WOW. What a day, this tour was absolutely worth while and extremely well run. First thing to note is the company have very good communication to the lead up to the tour, ensuring you know what you need and meeting times etc.
The tour is a long day, but it is broken up really well. The two stops on the way to Hallstatt makes time go by quickly and before you know it you're in the most gorgeous town. I went during winter (so the skywalk was shut down), however we went to, in my opinion, a even better option, a beautiful library. As our tour guide put it, 'looks like it is out of Beauty and the Beast', which it did. Even better we were the only people there, making this even more magic.
Hallstatt itself was incredible. Beautiful, as expected, and it was snowing while I was there. Creating a magistic vibe. We had 2.5 hrs in the town which was more than enough time to explore the whole place and get all the photos you want, while also getting lunch and gifts.
On the way back we also were lucky to have time for an extra stop of a castle on a lake which was also beautiful.
A big part of what made the day special was the tour guide, Lily. She was energetic, friendly, and extremely insightful in everything we saw. She gave us information at perfect times before and after stops, ensuring we understand what we are seeing, and also giving some general history / information about Austria which I found interesting. Lily was also super helpful at taking photos of anyone who asked, getting us that picture perfect shot to send back to our families. For the information and guidence of Lily alone, this tour is worthwhile, the ability to also go to these incredible places is a bonus.
Also a shout-out to the driver who drove through extremely snowy conditions and was a lovely guy!

Wonderful Day trip - The Day trip was wonderful, its a long day but a great easy and safe way to experience some of the Austrian countryside and of course Hallstatt. The trip advisor will give you lots of info along the way. The snow and views in Hallstatt are spectacular and it felt magical.
At the end of our day we realised that we had left our bag and camera on the bus this company responded quickly and the bus driver was kind enough to look after it for us at his personal home. We were very thankful to Vitali.

Loved our Hallstatt day out from Vienna - Superb day out in Hallstatt, getting direct train from Vienna. The salt mine tour and sky view experiences were well worth it. The views are just as perfect as they look in the pictures!!

Very good Feedback - Hallstatt is a magical village especially when covered with snow. The excursion was well organized, we spent about three hours in Hallstatt which was enough. The tour leader Ms. Lydia was very polite and full of knowledge. The driver was very good. I recommend 7Travel for this excursion.

Beautiful Excursion - Hallstatt is worth a visit, a beautiful village and the excursion with the skywalk, breathtaking views.
In the morning they make us make a small stopover in a small castle, very cute place too so if you want to expand your visit a little and get out of Vienna, I recommend the excursion!
Small flat, indeed there is quite a road but we are warned in advance and I advise you to master your English perfectly otherwise you will not understand much to the day unfortunately. We would have liked a little leaflet in French

Pretty village but TOO busy and terrible food - This is actually nothing against the travel firm as they did everything they were meant to. We were collected from outside our hotel at 7:30am and dropped at the meeting point. We boarded the coach and started the LONG drive. The first stop was at some services which were meant to be for a toilet stop and maybe to grab some food and drink. You had to pay for the toilet which we knew about but the queue was ridiculous. With 3 coaches of people all arriving at the same time and then not being able to work out the barriers for the loo, caused carnage. It didn’t get much better in the shop/cafe. Even to buy a packet of crisps, we had to join the crazy queue half way around the restaurant (apparently shop till not open). It was an awful experience to be honest.
The second stop was good but in my mind, not entirely worth it. It was nice to see some of the lake and castle but both these stops turned the already 3.5 hour trip into a 5 hour one.
By the time we arrived at Hallstatt, we had to queue all the way through the tunnel and into an extremely busy village. The tour guide dashed off the bus and was meant to lead us to the skywalk entrance but I think she probably lost half of the party in her haste and didn’t even seem to notice.
After this we were told we had around 2.5 hours to see the rest of the town and as we hadn’t eaten, lunch was obviously a priority. This was a disaster. There are quite a few places serving food but not for the quantity of visitors that Hallstatt get daily. Everywhere was full and queues were out the door. Being cold as well meant nobody wanted to sit outside and eat (maybe this would have been better in the summer). The place we finally found food was pretty terrible. After queuing for over an hour, we spent £100 for basic slices of pizza and some drinks. The staff were unfriendly and frankly rude. We got very lucky finding a seat (for 3 of us anyway) but most had to just eat their food outside in the freezing temperatures. I’m glad all of our children were over 5 as the journey and stress of nowhere to eat, would have been very hard with young children.
After a pretty stressful lunch, and sprint round the village to see the sites, we were back on the coach. The traffic out of the village delayed us by about 30 minutes and then the final stop was another services at around 8pm. The driver wouldn’t let anyone stay on the bus in the warm so it was hang around in the bitterly cold temperatures or buy some snacks from the very limited and small shop (oh btw you’re not allowed to eat on the coach). These service stops are only 30 minutes so even if you want to queue for food, the chances of you finishing, are slim.
By the time, we got back it was 10:30 and we were all exhausted. I have to be honest, I’m not entirely sure it was worth it.
It is a shame because I think Hallstatt is very beautiful but the local people clearly don’t want visitors and the industry created to cater for them seem able to serve awful food and charge what they want for them knowing they’ll get the same quantity of people in again the next day.
