Memorable Experience! - Everything about this was wonderful! The concert was excellent and very professional. A bit hot and stuffy in the concert room (October, 2024) so dress in layers.

Mozart in full costume concert - Very impressed with the concert and opera singers, well organized, seats were ok, not great? we were in balcony 1st row but on the side, so we had to lean over a railing to see orchestra and opera singers..we had seats one and 2 on right side of orchestra not great but music was fabulous…there was a dress code but some people came to the show like they were going grocery shopping or to an amusement park…read the dress code people before attending…I highly recommend seeing the Mozart with musicians in costume of the period concert…you will not be disappointed!

Quintessentially Mozart! - Quintessential experience of Mozart in his own country, we were mesmerised with the music and the orchestra, the conductor engaged the audience beautifully and kept the audience fully entertained!

It was amazing. And was so cool to feel as if you were watching Mozart live back in his day. What a beautiful venue. - The fun from the conductor. He made us feel like we were part of the show. Never knew Classical music could be fun.

Worth it! - Beautiful hall with great acoustics. The costumes were a nice touch and the performances were excellent! We really enjoyed this! On the down side, be prepared with currency. they make you check your coat for 1 EU each and if you want a program you have to buy for extra 6 EU. Also long line to check voucher in and line to be seated, so arrive early.

A bucket list item fulfilled - As a lifelong fan of the New Year's Day concerts that are broadcast from this venue, going to a concert here has been on my bucket list for many years. When I saw that they did summer Mozart concerts with the orchestra in full historical costume, I knew I just had to get tickets. I ordered them through a 3rd party website, so I was told to pick up the tickets an hour before the concert started. When we picked them up, we were told we had been given an upgrade as well, which I was delighted to hear. I bought a programme & we got 2 free CDs as well which was a nice touch. We were able to have a wee glass of wine in the bar beforehand as well, which we both enjoyed. The concert itself was a delight. Well-known Mozart tunes with some operatic performances & of course, ending with 2 Strauss tunes as well (just like NYD!) 😉 My bucket list item has been fulfilled. Had a fantastic evening in this gorgeous venue.

Should do - Lots of fun. But kind of hard to see if you are on the sides and it’s very hot even when cold outside. But great music and fun entertainment.

Excellent concert, annoying tourists - The concert included an orchestra, a choir, and two opera singers. They were all extremely talented. The conductor added some audience participation which was fun. The reasons for not giving 5 stars included the cost, then having to pay to check jackets (not allowed to keep it with you), and pay for the program. The seating is flat, unlike most auditoriums. Attire was clear when purchasing but this clearly wasn’t passed on to the tour bus patrons who were there in sweats, jeans, running shoes, etc. Although we were told not to take pics or record, many rude tourists held up their phones routinely. The ushers would then come tell them to stop. Distracting. Being on a flat surface, I watched parts of the concert through the cell phone of the woman two rows ahead of me. Look up Vienna Philharmonic concerts in advance. They also play here and probably draw a local, well behaved crowd. Accessible venue. Confusing signs but helpful staff who spoke English.

Concert at Musikverein - Too much tourists and too much singing (opéra style) But for the musical part , it is very enjoyable. The concert room also very impressive.
