Vienna Pass - Vienna Pass is a very good offer if you are interested in museums and Hop-on bus as a nice bonus. We traveled to Vienna alone with our wife, we had six days of passes. During this time we visited the Imperial Apartments in Hofburg, the Treasure, the Main Hall of the Library, the Museum of Art History, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Peace (ethno), the Armory, the Ephesus Museum, the Belvedere, Albertina, the Imperial Crypt, the Museum of Carriages, Glorietta, the Palace and the Zoo in Schönbrunn, took three Hop-on bus lines (this is a wonderful way to relax after museums and see different parts of the city). Compared to the purchase of individual tickets, the savings were approximately doubled. In addition, the pass saves a lot of time, as you don't have to queue for tickets anywhere. Apart from two places - the Palace in Schönbrunn and the Imperial apartments in Hofburg - the pass gives the right of passage to the museum without a ticket. In the two places mentioned, the ticket must be collected at the box office. In Schoenbrunn's case, it's a box office for bands that doesn't have a line.

Experience to repeat - In Vienna this pass has many things included and if before you buy it you read what you can visit and enjoy this pass becomes very useful.

Some improvement needed by excellent otherwise! - Visited and enjoyed all the major sites. Vienna is amazing! The Vienna pass was excellent for entry to the sites. Suggestions: 1. include the Grand Tour at Schönbrunn to save travelers time. I had to run back to pay for an upgrade. 2. Have a pass without the Hop On Hop Off bus rides. In Vienna, you can make better use of time by walking or taking public transportation.

The hop-on hop-off bus don’t stop as it should - Overall it is easy to use and free entries to lots of the attractions/museums, etc. However, one feedback… and it’s more for the Vienna operator managing the lanes. The bus don’t stop at every stop that was stated. I don’t know why. I was already at the door and waiting for the bus to stop as it said it would, but it just drove right pass on at least two occasions. I had to walk or take the tram back. It’s a waste of time. Twice is in different lanes (blue & red)

Vianna pass at many museum visits highly recommended. Use hops to hop off really DRAMA - With multiple visits to museums top you can walk right through. Hop on Hop off DRAMA did not ride the schedule times. We had to catch a taxi a few times because the last one wasn't driving or there was an hour between them, personally I don't think the hop on hop off is recommended. Think for a long time about certain points to sell Vienna passes. Very unfortunate about Sisi her summer palace where you can only see 3 rooms out of 26 with the Vienna pass so actually you can't see anything! Gardens were closed so you could not use the pass while that is nicely mentioned. At the summer palace you can see how they make applestudel this came with the pass, but if you buy it it is €9,50 and you get an apple strudel now we had coffee ourselves and this was €6,50 per coffee. We did take the pass out because we visited a lot one day, but it is not well signposted like the hop on hop off or the summer palace of sisi. Unfortunately!

No interest. - It says that it includes many sites, but in many of them you can only access part, if you want to see them complete you have to pay. The 1-hour cruise that comes in is a boring ride along the Danube where you see nothing. The best of Vienna pass the sightseeing buses, which has so many lines that you don’t need to take the transport card to get around Vienna. In our review not worth this card, however we were in Prague with the Prague visstor and the experience was amazing

Too much traffic to make this cost effective - We purchased the Vienna Pass 24h ticket thinking this was a good option to see the attractions. However, there is way too much traffic in Vienna to make this a good option. Most of your tour time is spent on the bus getting between the attractions. We thought we would be able to do 3 may be 4 in a day, we ended up doing 2 and then we had to rush back from the second attraction to get the last bus back to the hotel at 5.30pm. What also doesn't help is that the service (the first bus) doesn't start until 9.30am, so time is a wasting! The bus seats were very uncomfortable for these long journeys, the buses were dirty, old and smelly. The staff were very miserable and when we asked any questions it was definitely too much trouble for them to answer. There was no information screen on the bus to show when you were coming up to a stop or what attraction was at that stop, so I had to keep referring to the paper map, which by the end of the day was falling apart. Trying to see the map on the mobile phone was not great either as it was very small print, zooming in and out is OK but you don't get a good overview of the journey doing that. There was an audio commentary that you could listen to in lots of different languages. You could also use the live bus tracking website which showed you when a bus was going to arrive at the bus stop you were waiting at, this was useful. I would not recommend this way of seeing Vienna, I think its better to use the local bus and/or underground services and decide which attractions you want to see before you travel. For most of the attractions you can get your tickets online beforehand, so you know how much you are spending before you even get there, this also helps with queueing to get tickets and finding out that it is fully booked when you turn up that day.

Unfortunate management and terrible information when buying it online. - I have had a very bad experience, I bought by booking two cards for 3 days, the card has been giving me problems since the first day, I had to go directly to the office of the Vienna pass to solve it, since they did not let me enter the museum of Sisi, the second day, one had a good time and the other not, in the norse, the administrator an edge, unfriendly, ill-mannered, rude and without wanting to help and collaborate, almost cost me a problem, the only thing that told me that I had to pay again the attraction. In the palace of shonbrunn only the halls enter, not the rooms and there are other activities that in November are closed. An odyssey to book the opera, may be that financially I have turned out profitable but not in disgusts, so I would never buy it again. What's more, I don't think I'll ever buy this kind of card from now on.

It is not worth buying the Vienna Pass. - It is not worth buying the Vienna Pass, besides very expensive, I paid about R$800.00 to enjoy 48 hours of services offered, the same does not give access to all attractions. First of all, I will talk about the Schonbrunn Palace: by arriving there, the ticket was limited to a short tour of the palace rooms, with only 4 rooms, which does not provide a complete experience as the pass offers. Second, the panoramic train that gives access to the buildings of the complex did not work until the end of the day as stated in the itinerary, in case the train was to operate until 18:15h (last scheduled time in the planner) and worked only until 14:30h. They placed a warning at the stops of the train informing that the same was no longer available, which made it difficult to locate between the buildings of the complex, because they are all very far away and we had to walk absurdly. In addition to this panoramic train, the other train that works inside the zoo part was also not available, we did not use because we did not at least see it. All this delayed and very much our visit to the complex of the Schonbrunn Palace, given that it is enormous and goes quite well between one point and another. Outside this disturbance, the bus that makes the tour of the city has several lines of difficult understanding, taking too long on the route, especially from the blue route, with irrelevant and long "tourist points"; the audio guide is weak, does not have many explanations about the city and more, the bus does not circulate through the streets of the center of Vienna, which makes it difficult to access many tourist points, because they are located in the middle of the center and the bus does not reach them, we have to walk a lot to get to them. Given that we saw several other buses from other companies stop at these same tourist sites, we realized that only the Vienna Pass did not make such stops. The result: we were unable to take advantage of the tickets from the various museums offered in the Vacation Package of the Vienna Pass, because the logistics does not make it easy to use them, the bus delays on the route, we had to walk and much to the museums, which made us waste a lot of time on foot and besides we were extremely tired. I do not indicate this pass in any way, I have already made others in other cities and it was not that way, the Vienna Pass was a big problem.
