Haas & Haas wine and delicatessen - Since time immemorial, around 700 hectares of wine have been cultivated within Vienna’s urban area. The roots of viticulture here go as far back as the Romans, who populated the city two thousand years ago.

But what exactly is left of the former empire in Vienna today and how is that related to Viennese wine? Get to the bottom of these questions in the truest sense of the word with a guided wine tasting in the city’s deepest and non-public wine cellar.

A professional wine expert will lead you into the cellar to taste three different wines. The wines range from classic Viennese wines to other Austrian wines, which will, of course, be paired with a small snack from the in-house, family-owned delicatessen.

Wine had me seeing God - Bernie was an amazing tour guide in this journey of flavor!! I really loved how the cellar kept going, unfortunately we couldn’t see the deepest most ominous layer (wish we had been allowed). Overall vibes were really great, snacks were yummy wish the portions were bigger.

Must do in Vienna, highly recommend - Amazing experience! Perfect mix of Vienna history, wine details and entertainment. Highly recommend, the wines were very nice, the location is incredible. The history you can see in the bricks and cellar is fascinating, our host was the best! Really felt like we were having a wine and cheese night with friends!

Wine history and yummy wines - Loved this cute little store. We even stayed after to enjoy a glass of wine. We learned so much during this tour and really enjoyed going underground. I think if you’re looking for something fun to take a break of sightseeing this is your tour. If you’re expecting a wine tour like one from California or Italy, this is not that long. But I can assure you it is equally delicious wine and very knowledgeable

Mixed - Going down in to the Cellars was fascinating. Our host was extremely knowledgeable & the talk was very interesting. However there were 10 of us in all, so we only had the smallest amount of wine each. (He didn’t even share all the wine out but left some in each of the 3 bottles for the quickest person to nab at the end) I must say we all thought that that seemed rather mean.
