Worth the trip and stay on the island! - One of a kind experience, no moon out for us so the glow was especially visible. Our guide was a local with so much good info but also let us just chill under the stars. The late tour was quieter and darker. Really glad we did this. Next time, won’t put the bigger person in the back, the kayak kept getting water in it and sinking lower and lower.

Great tour. Great guide. - Great tour. Dondi and his crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Only feedback I’d give is maybe give a quick lesson in paddling , lots of newbies on my tour who kept bumping into each other and me lol.

Must-do tour in Vieques - Awesome tour, you can see fish swimming around lit up in the water and play with the bioluminescence with your hands. We watched the moonrise during free time and even saw a shooting star. Our guide was super insightful and funny. The drive over is very bumpy but very short. The tour itself is also very short but a must-do experience.

Amazing tour! - The tour is well worth it! You get to learn about the ecosystem while viewing the amazing Bio Bay. The tour guide was so informed and did a great job leading us. If you don’t like getting wet and a little muddy, don’t do it! If you are up for an awesome educational adventure, DO IT!

Truly the best... - Truly the best experience! Our guide, Lulu, was AMAZING. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and funny. Truly could not recommend her or this experience enough. The bay is magnificent and the kayaking is relatively easy even if you have limited or no experience - the guides are there to help!

Unforgettable experience and one of the brightest bioluminescent bays in the world. - Lulu was a excellent and entertaining guide. She is very knowledgeable about the bay and the stars. The bay glows an electric blue-green color when the water is disturbed, creating an almost magical effect. • The glow is best seen on moonless nights when the surroundings are darker. • Kayaking through the bay is the most popular way to experience the phenomenon, as motorized boats are restricted to protect the ecosystem.

Magical Experience - We went on a windy night ( 9 pm ) kayak trip. Lulu was such a great operator, she made sure we all feel comfortable, she gave us a kayak lesson in the beginning in case you are a beginner, she also shared some tips. We started off in a big car, the ride was bumpy because the bay is located in an area which is not close to the road. They asked us to remove our shoes and keep them along with our bags in the car itself. Taking phone was not recommended, so we didnt. The water was 3-4 feet deep mostly so their was no chance of drowning. It was an amazing experience playing with the bioluminescence. Lulu made sure we all stick together and she safely navigated us through. She was very knowledgeable about the stars, bioluminescence and many other things she shared. I would recommend wearing shorts as you will definitely get wet down there. Overall, amazing experience!

Don't Set Your Expectations too high - Conditions vary....you might not see much of the luminescence. The bus ride to and from the bay was a killer.
