Awesome experience (with sone stress) - Our 9:30 and the 10:30 were canceled, so we were moved up. They originally asked us to move to the 6:50 pickup time, but that wouldnt work, so they asked us about 7:50. We booked the experience the day we landed, so we drove to the ferry from the airport and took the 6:30 passenger ferry over, and that was about 45 minutes. We booked a later time to accommodate all thia, so the change was stressful. They let us leave our luggage in the van even though our hotel was just across the street, and we almost didn't make it, but it all worked out. If I were doing this again, I'd schedule it for the end of our Puerto Rico trip instead of the beginning to just get to the island sooner. The moon was about half full, but the glow was still clear and awesome. The driver of the van and the tour guide on the boat were but friendly and energetic. We had a great night despite some initial stress.

Excellent biobay tour - Our tour guide, Eddie, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Three of our group were scientists and asked many questions. Eddie knew it all. This ecologist was impressed! I highly recommend this tour.

Enjoying bioluminescence - Experiencing the bay on a night with a new moon was incredible. The guide Eddie was friendly and knew many facts. He used humor to make the trip more fun. We also saw random wildlife like a spider crab, herons, and a bat. It's unique to be able to see fish and other sea creatures lighting up as they swim and I'm glad we went.

Fantastic tour - This boat tour was better than expected. We were glad we decided on the boat vs kayak tour allowing us to talk with our group and guides. The guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. Very informative.

One of a kind experience of natures wonders - Leonardo/Dondee were great guides with a sense of humor. He got us to the lake and out into the water quickly and safely so that we can enjoy more time in the bay. He is very knowledgeable about the organisms and the bag and the history. I really enjoyed this experience even though it rained on us. Leonardo all showed me how to capture the glow on my iPhone! A very unique experience crossed off my bucket list. A plus was the night sky full of stars! I also went during a full moon but since it was cloudy we still got to see the glow (although the guide said it wasn't at their brightest)

Amazing boat tour of the bio bay - The bioluminescence was amazing!!! Pictures don't do it justice. The tour guide was full of interesting info about the plankton behind the glow and the mangroves that make it all happen.

A Mixed Experience: Great Tour, Disappointing Pick-Up - The boat trip itself was a pretty good experience, with engaging and warm staff. I would definitely recommend checking out the phenomenon if you have the opportunity. However, our original tour was canceled at the very last minute due to not meeting the minimum number of participants. Fortunately, we were able to rebook for the next day since we were staying on Vieques for several days. Unfortunately, one major downside that dampened the experience was the pick-up process. Upon arriving at the designated location, I checked the license plate of the pick-up vehicle and opened the door to get in, as no one was outside to greet us or verify our booking. The driver reacted extremely rudely and yelled at me angrily “What are you doing man?” Ummm, I'm here for the tour??? When I showed him our confirmation text, he insisted that our names weren’t on the list. After double-checking, he realized his mistake and hastily told us to get in the car with an odd tone but never apologized for his rudeness or the confusion. Additionally, the ride to the boat was extremely bumpy, which is understandable given the road conditions. However, the driving felt unnecessarily rough and reckless at times, making the journey uncomfortable and unenjoyable. Despite these setbacks, the boat guides and the experience itself were enjoyable and helped salvage the overall tour from being a one-star experience. Kudos to them for their professionalism and enthusiasm.
