The first stop is the Pearl Farm, showcasing exquisite and valuable pearl strands, including those cultivated and handcrafted by local artisans. Additionally, visitors can observe a live demonstration of pearl extraction from an oyster, offering a fascinating experience for those unfamiliar with the process.
• Sim Wine Production Facility Bay Gao - 9:30 AM: Departing from the Pearl Farm, the tour proceeds to the Sim Wine Factory, where locals produce Sim wine (Rose Myrtle Wine) from myrtle tree fruit. Here, visitors can sample various types of Sim wine, ranging from low to high alcohol content. If you enjoy the wine, it is available for purchase, as Sim wine is exclusively produced on Phu Quoc Island.
• Peppers in Phu Quoc chez Le Ho - The next stop is a Pepper Farm. Phu Quoc is renowned for its specialties, including Phu Quoc green pepper, which combines with the island’s soil to create a uniquely aromatic and appealing pepper, admired by both Vietnamese and international tourists.
• Ham Ninh - 10:00 AM: Leaving the Pepper Farm, the tour visits Ham Ninh Fishing Village. This village is perfect for foreign visitors seeking to experience the daily life of local fishermen and enjoy authentic regional dishes at reasonable prices. Known as one of the oldest villages on Phu Quoc Island, its residents primarily earn a living through pearl and sea cucumber diving, fishing, and recently, selling handmade souvenirs and seafood delicacies to tourists.
• Ho Quoc Temple - 11:00 AM: The tour continues to Ho Quoc Pagoda, the largest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc Island. This magnificent temple is situated at the base of a lush mountain, facing the sea and the rising sun.
• Bai Tắm Sao - The tour then transfers to Sao Beach, where visitors can enjoy lunch and partake in activities such as swimming, water sports (at personal expense), sunbathing, or collecting sea stars for photos.
• Phu Quoc Prison - 1:30 PM: Arriving at Phu Quoc Prison, the tour guide shares intriguing information about this historical site. Originally built by French colonialists to imprison Vietnamese people, it was known as Coconut Tree Prison in 1967. It was the largest facility for holding communist soldiers in the South, with over 32,000 prisoners.
